What is the best medicine for anxiety disorder?

If you have anxiety disorder and it is serious, you can take medication under the guidance of a doctor to treat it. There are many drugs to treat anxiety disorder. For example, the commonly used drugs in clinical practice are benzodiazepines, which are drugs that can relieve anxiety and tension. They also include diazepam and some derivatives, as well as drugs such as chlordiazepoxide. The therapeutic effects of these drugs are relatively good, the side effects are relatively small, and the safety is relatively high.

Benzodiazepines are the most commonly used drugs for the treatment of anxiety disorders.

Benzodiazepines are a class of drugs used primarily to relieve anxiety and tension, including chlordiazepoxide, diazepam and their derivatives. This type of drug has good therapeutic effect, high safety, few side effects, and has anti-anxiety, muscle tension relaxant, anti-epileptic, sedative and hypnotic effects. It is the most widely used in clinical practice. Among them, diazepam is the most commonly used. It has the advantages of fast effect, conducive to sleep, and safety. The usual dosage is 5-30 mg per day. However, it also has side effects such as drowsiness, sleepiness, tremor, blurred vision and abnormal irritability, and is not significantly effective in improving autonomic nervous function. However, there are certain limitations on the use of benzodiazepines in the elderly. If they must be used, lorazepam or olanzepam are generally used.

In addition, neurotrophic drugs can also be used in combination.

Both O-oryzanol and vitamin B1 are neurotrophic drugs. The former has the effect of adjusting the function of the diencephalon, activating the hypothalamus and limbic system related to the autonomic nervous system, and improving autonomic disorders and endocrine imbalance; the latter participates in the body's sugar metabolism process and maintains the normal function of the nervous, cardiac and digestive systems. The usual dosage for both is 30-60 mg per day, divided into three oral doses.

Treatment with a combination of diazepam, oryzanol and vitamin B1

The combined use of these three drugs can not only improve insomnia and anxiety, but also improve autonomic nervous function, and the effect is more significant. Moreover, it can achieve satisfactory therapeutic effects of diazepam at a small dose (7.5 mg per day), so the side effects of diazepam will be significantly reduced.

Warm reminder: When using the above drugs to treat anxiety disorders, be sure to take them according to your doctor's instructions. With the emergence of new drugs for treating anxiety disorders, not only are the effects of treating anxiety disorders more significant, but the side effects of drugs are also greatly reduced, bringing hope to the treatment of anxiety patients and greatly improving the level of prevention and treatment of anxiety disorders.
