Can lumbar osteoma be cured?

Lumbar osteoma is a very common tumor in life. It is generally divided into benign lumbar osteoma and malignant lumbar osteoma. Modern medical technology is very advanced. Most tumors can be treated by surgery. Generally, malignant lumbar tumors require chemotherapy after surgery. Benign tumors must be removed as soon as possible to avoid deterioration. Pay more attention to a light diet, exercise more, and enhance resistance.

The early symptoms of bone tumors generally include the following eight points:

1. A hard lump will appear on the surface of the bone, which may be painful or painless;

2. Pain and swelling in bones and adjacent joints, often worse at night, with the severity of pain having nothing to do with activity. The nature of the pain varies, and can be dull, stabbing, pulling, etc.

3. The body will have fever, weight loss, fatigue, weakness, mental fatigue and other symptoms;

4. Some patients will have persistent back pain, and the cause of the back pain is difficult to explain;

5. There will be numbness in the distal part of the limbs, which is mostly caused by the tumor compressing the nerves;

6. Pathological fractures or deformations are prone to occur. Patients often have one or more fractures without obvious causes, and often seek medical treatment for this reason.

7. Spontaneous fractures are also common early symptoms of bone cancer.

8. When middle-aged and elderly people experience unexplained limb pain, back pain, and the pain tends to progressively worsen, they should be alert to the possibility of metastatic bone tumors.

Once a bone tumor is diagnosed, it can be divided into two types: benign and malignant. The differences are as follows:

1. In addition to the differences in body temperature, blood count, and erythrocyte sedimentation rate, benign bone tumors and malignant bone tumors are that patients with the former are generally in good condition and have less pain, while patients with the latter become emaciated, anemic, and have obvious pain, and often have obvious cachexia in the late stages.

2. Benign bone tumors generally develop slowly, and some stop developing at a certain age. Malignant tumors develop rapidly and may even form huge masses with distended surface veins.

3. Presence of metastasis: Benign bone tumors generally do not metastasize, while primary malignant bone tumors are more likely to metastasize to internal organs and other bones. For the metastasis of bone tumors, in addition to surgery combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the anti-tumor Chinese medicine ginsenoside RG3 is often used as an auxiliary treatment in clinical practice. It is a national first-class monomeric traditional Chinese medicine that can inhibit tumor angiogenesis, induce tumor cell apoptosis, and inhibit the further spread and metastasis of tumor cells.

4. The boundaries of benign bone tumors are usually relatively clear, and there is often a clear dividing line between them and normal bone. There is generally no periosteal reaction. If there is a reaction, the new periosteal bone is also relatively regular and neat. The boundaries of malignant osteomas are unclear, the boundary between them and normal bone is unclear, the periosteal reaction is disordered, and even a solar-radiating shape is formed.

Treatments for bone cancer include surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and traditional Chinese medicine such as ginsenoside RG3. It is best to combine Chinese and Western medicine for treatment, because Chinese medicine can regulate patients after surgical treatment and has a good effect on side effects caused by radiotherapy or chemotherapy, such as gastrointestinal reactions and bone marrow reactions.
