The reason why the vaginal discharge is bloody when the due date comes

Some obvious symptoms will appear when the due date comes, such as blood in the vaginal discharge and frequent urination. This is because the fetal head has entered the pelvis, which will compress the bladder and cause pregnant women to experience symptoms such as frequent urination and urgency. In addition, the number of fetal movements will be significantly reduced, but the fetal movements will not disappear suddenly. All this indicates that the baby is about to come. As a pregnant mother, you must make some preparations in time.

Signs before labor

1. Frequent urination

As delivery is imminent, the baby's head begins to drop, and the pressure on the bladder causes the bladder to store less urine. A little urine will make you feel uncomfortable, as if you are holding your urine, and you will need to go to the toilet. This condition is not a urinary system disease, but one of the signs of approaching delivery.

2. Fetal movement frequency decreases

Fetal movements are less than before because the fetal head has entered the pelvis and is relatively fixed. The fetal activity decreases, and each pregnant woman feels the fetal movement differently, but the fetal movement will never disappear suddenly. If you cannot determine whether it is abnormal, you should go to the hospital for examination.

3. Increased vaginal discharge

Because delivery is imminent, the cervix will soften and relax in preparation for delivery, which will lead to increased secretions. These discharges are clear or white and sticky.

4. Relieve upper abdominal oppression symptoms

Symptoms such as bloating, acid reflux, heartburn, and loss of appetite caused by pregnancy will be alleviated or disappear, and the breathing difficulties will improve.

5. Feeling of pressure on the kidneys

Due to the innervation of the uterus, there is a vague feeling of heaviness in the kidney area (slightly above the lower back).

6. Low back pain

Low back pain, swelling and cramps in the thighs, pain in the toes, and difficulty walking. This is a symptom caused by the fetal head descending and compressing the nerves in the pelvis.

7. Regular uterine contractions

Unlike the usual irregular uterine contractions, the mother will experience regular uterine contractions before giving birth. It happens every 10 to 15 minutes, and each session lasts for several dozen seconds. Even if you rest in bed, the contractions do not disappear, and the intervals between them gradually shorten, the duration gradually lengthens, and the intensity of the contractions continues to increase. At this time, you should go to the hospital immediately to prepare for delivery.

8. Water breaking

Most women's membranes rupture after labor begins, and only a few women's membranes rupture before labor, which is called "premature rupture of membranes." Some pregnant women will go into labor soon after their water breaks, while others will have to wait for some time. No matter which situation it is, if premature rupture of membranes occurs, you should lie down immediately and go to the hospital to wait for delivery.

9. Bloody vaginal discharge

Commonly known as "seeing blood", it is a relatively reliable sign that delivery is about to begin. This is the separation of the fetal membrane near the internal os of the cervix from the uterine wall, causing the capillaries to rupture and a small amount of blood to be discharged through the vagina. Spotting often occurs 24 to 48 hours before labor begins, and you should go to the hospital immediately to prepare for delivery. Generally, the amount of spotting is less than the normal menstrual volume. If it exceeds the menstrual volume, it is abnormal. You should consider the possibility of late pregnancy bleeding such as placenta previa, and go to the hospital for treatment in time.
