Kidney stones and gallstones are more familiar to everyone. In comparison, stomach stones are less common. However, because people eat a variety of foods every day, some foods will react in the stomach to form relatively hard objects, resulting in stomach stones. Plant-based stomach stones are especially common. So how to treat this disease? 1. Traditional Chinese medicine remedies for treating gastric stones 1. Boil water chestnut stems in water and drink it as tea. 2. Add walnut kernels, rice and water to cook into porridge for drinking. 3. Decoction of corn silk, dandelion and Artemisia capillaris in water, once a day. 4. Gourd leaves, persimmon leaves, and hawthorn. Decoction in water. Take 1 dose daily, divided into 2 doses. 5. For Centella asiatica, brew with boiling water, cover the container and drink after 5 minutes. Take several times a day. 6. Cut 5 fresh carambolas into pieces, add 5 bowls of water and boil until 3 bowls remain. Add honey and drink. 7. Mash the fresh gourd and take its juice, mix it with honey, take half a cup each time, twice a day. 8. Cut the heart of the sunflower stem into 3 cm long pieces, decoct in water and take once a day for 1 month. 9. Shell the pumpkin seeds, take out the kernels, mash them into a paste, add appropriate amount of sugar and stir, take with warm water on an empty stomach in the morning and evening. 10. Dry the green tea and grind it into powder. Pour boiling water over it and drink it with the tea leaves while it is hot. Drink it once every morning on an empty stomach and before going to bed. 2. Surgical treatment If the gastric stones are large, hard and difficult to dissolve, and medical treatment, endoscopic lithotripsy, microwave or shock wave treatment have not been effective, or if there are complications such as severe gastric ulcers, bleeding, perforation or obstruction, surgical treatment is appropriate. 3. Manual lithotripsy For patients with gastric stones without obvious symptoms and complications, such as persimmon stones and hawthorn gastric stones, you can try extra-abdominal massage and compression to break the gastric lumps into small pieces, and then perform gastric lavage or give laxatives to speed up the excretion of lumps. 4. X-ray net lithotripsy In the early years, a mesh was made of metal wire and inserted into the gastric tube. When the barium showed gastric stones, the mesh was wrapped around them and the wire was tightened to cut the stones. Repeat the operation to cut it into pieces and discharge it naturally. On this basis, you can also take sodium bicarbonate, metoclopramide (Metoclopramide), etc. to promote stone excretion. 5. Extracorporeal shock wave therapy Extracorporeal shock wave therapy has evolved from treating kidney stones to treating gallstones, and in recent years has been successfully used to treat gastric stones. Liquid diet was taken 2 days before treatment. No anesthesia was required during treatment. Patients were advised to drink 500 ml of water to fill the stomach. After B-ultrasound positioning in prone position, the patient was discharged 80 times per minute at a voltage of 12kv, with a total of 1500 to 2000 shocks. Generally, the stones appeared as broken shadows. The patient does not experience any discomfort during the treatment and the gastric mucosa is not damaged. Repeat B-ultrasound examination after 3 days to find out whether the gastric stones have been expelled. 6. Fiberoptic Endoscopic Lithotripsy The application of fiber endoscopy to treat gastric stones has developed rapidly, and there are many combined methods. Under the microscope, you can use biopsy forceps to bite, cut, pound, or puncture to destroy the capsule or shell of the gastric stone, and then rinse it repeatedly with water. An endoscopic scalpel can also be used to repeatedly cut the gastric stone capsule and agglomeration. Or use a wire snare under a fiber endoscope to cut the stone, then use a grabber to break it into pieces and let it out naturally. 7. Internal Medicine Drug Treatment Select Chinese and Western medicines to change the patient's internal environment of the stomach, soften, dissolve, and shrink gastric stones, improve gastric motility, and promote their natural excretion. Plant-based gastric stones have a long history of being treated with sodium bicarbonate. The usual oral dose is 3 to 4 g each time, 3 times a day, and 7 to 10 days as a course of treatment. You can also take an equal amount of foaming agent at the same time to enhance the therapeutic effect and shorten the treatment course. In addition, there are reports that adding 50 mg of papaya enzyme or 5 mg of cellulase dissolved in 1000 ml of water and taking it for 2 consecutive days can also show effectiveness. |
