What to do if your lumbar disc is herniated and your waist is crooked

There are many symptoms of lumbar disc herniation. Sometimes the patient's waist may feel tilted to one side. At this time, the intervertebral foraminal tube method can be used for treatment. In addition, emphasis should be placed on health care in daily life and adequate rest should be maintained. For female patients, try not to wear high heels and sleep on a flat bed, which can delay the pressure on the intervertebral canal. In addition, drug therapy, traction therapy, minimally invasive surgery, etc. are all better treatments.

Treatment of lumbar disc herniation

1. Drug treatment

I believe everyone is familiar with drug treatment, most of which are analgesics and anti-inflammatory. Of course, it’s nothing more than some pain relief plasters. This treatment method only treats the symptoms and not the root cause. There is nothing wrong with short-term relief of symptoms.

2. Traction therapy

This treatment technique is similar to corrective massage. If you walk, ride in a car, etc. immediately after traction, the high pressure state in the intervertebral disc will be restored, making the traction ineffective. Traction is only suitable for patients with intervertebral disc bulging. If the intervertebral disc has already caused protrusion and herniation, traction is completely ineffective. Obviously it is not suitable for every patient.

3. Acupuncture knife therapy

Since adrenal glucocorticoids are used in the treatment process, they should not be used excessively. It is also contraindicated for patients with diabetes, hypertension, etc.

4. Massage therapy and acupuncture treatment. It is mainly aimed at alleviating the patient's clinical symptoms and, like drug treatment, is not a radical cure.

5. Minimally invasive treatment is a more advanced treatment method.

7. Interventional treatment.

6. Surgical treatment

Because the lumbar spine is covered with important nerve tissue, surgery is generally associated with risks.

Through the above introduction to the treatment methods of lumbar disc herniation, I believe everyone has a certain understanding. Generally speaking, we adhere to the principle that if traditional treatment is possible, we should not use interventional treatment; if interventional treatment is possible, we should never use surgical treatment; if surgical treatment is necessary, we should have it as soon as possible because surgical treatment has risks. Therefore, in terms of choosing a method, we hope that the majority of patients with lumbar disc herniation will make a rational choice based on their own circumstances.
