Diet for pancreatic patients

Diet for pancreatic patients

Pancreatic disease is a relatively serious acute disease. For patients, it is necessary to strengthen dietary adjustments and make good arrangements in terms of diet to ensure that the patients eat more nutritious food. At the same time, they should understand some dietary taboos and supplement some nutrients in time to improve the patient's immunity. They should usually eat some high-protein and high-carbohydrate foods, such as dairy products, fish, refined flour, etc.

Diet for pancreatic patients

1. Guide pancreatic cancer patients to develop better eating habits. Eat less or limit the intake of fatty meat, fish roe, brain marrow, greasy, fried foods and other foods that are difficult to digest. Avoid spicy foods such as onions, ginger, garlic, and chili peppers, and avoid smoking and drinking. Avoid overeating, binge drinking, excessive drinking, and high-fat diets. The pancreas is one of the main organs that secretes digestive enzymes, especially lipase, which is mainly secreted by the pancreas. What foods are good to eat when you have pancreatic cancer? Once the pancreas is diseased, the digestion of fat will be seriously affected.

2. Reasonable arrangements can be made for the patient's daily diet to ensure that the patient eats nutritiously. The diet of pancreatic cancer patients should first choose a nutritious, easy to digest, less irritating, low-fat diet. They can give high-protein, high-carbohydrate foods such as milk, fish, liver, egg white, fine flour products, lotus root powder, fruit juice, vegetable soup, glutinous rice, etc. You can take some Chinese medicine to improve the patient's appetite. Of course, while taking the medicine, you should also take some easily digestible food and fresh vegetables. The patient can also drink some hawthorn soup or mung bean soup without residue to regulate his appetite. The diet after surgery should often include foods that replenish qi and blood, strengthen the spleen and stomach, such as glutinous rice, red beans, broad beans, yam, wolfberry, mussels, figs, hazelnuts, milk, water chestnut powder, etc.

Dietary taboos

Patients cannot consume large amounts of protein and fat when they are just discharged from the hospital. It is forbidden to eat meat, fish, chicken soup, egg yolks, etc. These foods are difficult to digest and will put a burden on the digestive system that has just recovered. The patient's family should also strictly follow the doctor's arrangements and prepare food that the patient can eat. New ingredients should be added only after obtaining the doctor's consent to prevent the new ingredients from causing a recurrence of the disease.
