Why is my arm sore?

It is common to feel tightness and pain in the arms in daily life, especially for middle-aged and elderly people. When they get up in the morning, they will feel heavy arms, causing symptoms of numbness and pain. There are many reasons for this situation. On the one hand, it may be because of improper posture when sleeping, which presses on the arms and causes poor blood circulation. On the other hand, it may be caused by periarthritis of the shoulder or rheumatoid arthritis.

Why is my arm sore?

Experts point out that most people don't know what causes arm pain. There are many reasons for arm pain. In addition to factors such as carelessness in daily life, incorrect posture and trauma, we should mainly pay attention to the factors of disease, because if the arm pain caused by disease is not treated in time, it is difficult to get relief. Common diseases that cause arm pain are as follows:

1. Frozen shoulder

The main symptoms are shoulder pain and difficulty in movement, but as the disease progresses, the pain range expands and involves the middle part of the upper arm, accompanied by limited shoulder joint movement.

If you try to increase the range of motion, severe pain will occur.

2. Rheumatoid arthritis

An acute or chronic connective tissue disease. The affected joints are mostly large joints such as the knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows and wrists. It is common for the disease to spread from one joint to another. The local lesions appear red, swollen, burning, and severe pain. Some patients also have several joints affected at the same time.

Atypical patients only have joint pain without other inflammatory manifestations. Acute inflammation generally subsides in 2-4 weeks without leaving sequelae, but it often recurs.

3. Cervical spondylosis

It is a common orthopedic disease with neck and shoulder pain as the main symptom. The symptoms are very rich, varied and complex, and most patients have mild symptoms at the beginning.

It may also cause dizziness, headache, numbness of the upper limbs, muscle atrophy, and in severe cases, cramps in both lower limbs, difficulty walking, and even paralysis of the limbs, urinary and bowel disorders, and paralysis.
