What diseases can liver and gallbladder damp-heat cause?

Damp-heat in the liver and gallbladder must be treated in time, because if you don't pay attention, it may cause more adverse symptoms. Patients are prone to dry mouth, bitter mouth, and bland mouth. It is recommended to eat less hot foods such as longan meat, goose meat, and mutton.

1. Bitter taste in the mouth

This is the most common taste abnormality. Patients feel a distinct bitter taste in their mouths, accompanied by dry mouth, bloating and pain in the flanks, short and yellow urine, etc. It is often seen in TCM diagnosis of damp-heat in the liver and gallbladder. Clinically, patients with liver and gallbladder damp-heat types such as acute hepatitis, acute cholecystitis, and acute urethritis often feel a bitter taste in the mouth. The symptoms of bitter taste in the mouth can be quickly improved by taking Chinese medicines such as Plantain, Centella asiatica, and Artemisia capillaris that can clear away heat and dampness, and soothe the liver and gallbladder.

2. Taste and dry mouth

Some people feel that their mouths are tasteless, everything they eat has no taste, they have poor appetite, and their tongue is pale and covered with white fur. This is mostly caused by weak spleen and stomach. Dry mouth is also a common abnormal taste in clinical practice. Patients always feel that there is insufficient fluid in their mouths and they are thirsty and like to drink. This is usually caused by liver fire or stomach fire, which damages the yin and consumes fluid. Taking Chinese medicines such as lotus seeds and wolfberries that nourish yin and reduce heat will improve the symptoms of dry mouth and dry mouth.

3. Unsuitable food

Spicy foods such as pepper, longan meat, goose meat, mutton, chicken,醍醐, clam meat, white wine, ginseng, eggs, pumpkin, pickled mustard tuber, garlic, cinnamon, cloves, fennel, onion, leek, ginger, etc.; sticky and greasy foods such as glutinous rice, jujube, lychee, etc.; foods that are easy to cause bloating such as potatoes and bean curd, animal oil, fatty meat, dog meat, sea fish, shrimp, as well as tonic foods such as astragalus, placenta, and polygonatum.
