Acute hemolytic transfusion reaction

Acute hemolytic transfusion reaction

The symptoms of acute hemolytic transfusion reaction are jaundice after a few days of bleeding, and may also cause an increase in red blood cells or anemia, chills and high fever, and renal failure. People with slow reactions may also develop jaundice and anemia.

Most acute hemolytic transfusion reactions refer to the conflict between the red blood cells transfused after blood transfusion and the patient's original red blood cells, which will destroy and dissolve the original red blood cells, so it will also be accompanied by some adverse reactions. If the hemolysis rate is relatively fast, it is an acute hemolytic type. During the blood transfusion process, the patient will have symptoms of chills and fever. It is necessary to stop the blood transfusion in time and make effective corresponding treatment according to the doctor's guidance. If it has caused acute renal failure in the patient, in addition to stopping the blood transfusion immediately, certain glucocorticoid drugs can also be used to rescue the patient as soon as possible.

Hemolytic reaction occurs after blood transfusion. If it is chronic, the reaction will begin to occur a few days after the transfusion is stopped. Some people will be accompanied by jaundice and anemia. They need to go to the hospital for relevant examinations. They can also use a small amount of glucocorticoids under the guidance of a doctor, which can help the recovery of these symptoms. At the same time, they should go to the hospital for regular follow-up examinations.
