Why does the skin bleed when it is scratched?

If there are bleeding spots when you scratch your skin, you should pay attention to it. There are many reasons for this phenomenon. It may be related to low platelets or poor coagulation mechanism. The more common reasons include aplastic anemia and leukemia. This is a great harm to your health. You should go to the hospital for examination in time. In addition to regular treatment, you should also pay attention to your diet.

Why does the skin bleed when it is scratched?

1. Death due to decreased platelet production or ineffective production: There are two types: hereditary and acquired. Acquired thrombocytopenia is caused by certain factors such as drugs, malignant tumors, infection, ionizing radiation, etc. that damage hematopoietic stem cells or affect their proliferation in the bone marrow. These factors can affect multiple hematopoietic cell systems, often accompanied by varying degrees of anemia, leukopenia, and a significant decrease in bone marrow megakaryocytes.

2. Excessive platelet destruction: both congenital and acquired. Acquired platelet destruction includes immune and non-immune causes. Common immune causes of excessive platelet destruction include idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura and drug-induced thrombocytopenia. Excessive destruction of non-immune thrombocytopenia includes infection, disseminated intravascular coagulation, thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, etc.

3. Excessive retention of platelets in the spleen: most commonly seen in hypersplenism: Platelets play a very important role in coagulation and hemostasis in the human body, and can ensure that the human body prevents massive blood loss at the fastest speed. However, due to the influence of various reasons, patients will experience symptoms of thrombocytopenia, causing great harm to patients.

What to eat to increase platelet count

I have been ill for seven or eight years. I used to rely on hormone drugs to maintain my health, but my platelet count was very low after taking a lot of hormones. Later, my father told me that I couldn't take hormone drugs for the rest of my life, so I tried the decoction mentioned in "Yu Qihua's Tortuous Treatment Experience". Unexpectedly, the effect was surprisingly good. In the first month, the bleeding symptoms basically disappeared, and the platelet count increased from 2 to 9. In the second month, I felt energetic all over, and the platelet count increased to 26. I persisted in adjusting for six or seven months, and my platelet count finally returned to normal. It has been nearly a year since I stopped taking the drug, and my platelet count has been very stable.

Avoid eating coarse and long-fiber foods. People with thrombocytopenia are most prone to bleeding. Eating coarse and long-fiber foods will cause a lot of friction with the gastrointestinal mucosa during the digestion process, which can lead to gastrointestinal bleeding. Therefore, they must avoid eating such foods as celery, spinach, leeks, bamboo shoots, hairy bamboo shoots, winter bamboo shoots, uncooked beef, mutton, pork, etc. Avoid foods that are roasted, grilled or roasted. The skin of grilled or roasted foods is burnt and hard, which can cause friction and mucosal bleeding. On the other hand, this type of food is difficult to digest, hinders the spleen and stomach, and easily causes intestinal digestive dysfunction.

Limit fat intake. Excessive fat intake will inhibit the body's hematopoietic function and cause digestion and malabsorption in patients. Therefore, the daily intake should be less than 70 grams, and half should be animal fat and half vegetable fat.
