What to do if baby's buttocks have red spots

It is quite common for babies to have red spots on their buttocks. There are many reasons for this, such as heat rash. If parents do not pay attention to the cleanliness of their children's skin and do not change diapers in time, it can easily lead to diaper rash. In addition, if the child has a poor diet and eats some foods that cause allergies, it may also cause such skin phenomena.

What to do if baby's buttocks have red spots

1. Babies with eczema should not come into contact with water too often, once a day or every other day is enough. When taking a bath, the water temperature should not be too hot, and do not use bath products with high alkaline content. Do not take a bath when the eczema is severe or exuding, especially do not let the affected area come into contact with water.

2. For babies whose eczema has already formed scabs, you can wipe them with vegetable oil (olive oil) to gradually soften the scabs.

3. Clothes and quilts should not be too thick to avoid irritation from sweat. Clothes should be loose, cotton fabrics are most suitable, and do not let sweaters, blankets, chemical fibers, etc. come into contact with the skin. Baby's clothes, diapers and pillowcases should be washed and changed frequently, and the detergent must be rinsed off thoroughly.

4. Avoid sun exposure as strong sunlight will aggravate your baby's eczema.

5. The baby's environment should be kept clean and dry, and the room temperature should not be too high. Reduce allergens in the environment such as house dust, mites, hair, artificial fibers, fungi (carpets, pets). Change the pillowcase every day. The part of the quilt that contacts the face can be sewed with cotton cloth to make a quilt head, and change it frequently every day. The basin for washing pillowcases and quilt heads should be separated from the basin for washing diapers.

6. The baby’s life should be regular and ensure adequate sleep.

7. Cut your baby’s nails short to prevent scratching the wound. Because of the extreme itching, children sometimes rub their faces against pillows or quilts, or rub them with their hands, so the baby's nails should be cut short, gloves should be worn, and both hands should be restrained before going to bed to prevent scratches from causing widespread skin lesions.

8. In terms of diet, mothers should pay attention to not overfeeding their babies and maintain normal digestion.

(1) If the baby is breastfeeding, the mother should try to avoid eating foods that are prone to cause allergies. For example, if the baby is allergic to protein, the mother can eat egg yolk alone. The mother should not eat spicy, seafood, or fishy foods, such as onions, garlic, peppers, fish, shrimp, crabs, etc. She should eat more foods rich in vegetable oils.

(2) If the baby is mixed-fed or bottle-fed, he or she may be allergic to milk powder. In this case, you can choose to feed the baby desensitizing milk powder.

(3) When adding complementary foods, avoid choosing ready-made products that contain food additives. It is best for parents to make complementary foods for their children themselves. Eat less seafood to reduce allergies.

9. Do not use medicines indiscriminately. Babies have thin and tender skin, and improper use of medicines often worsens the condition. Parents must not abuse antibiotics and do not use single or folk remedies casually.

10. During the period of eczema, you need to consult a doctor before getting vaccinated to avoid systemic reactions.

What are the dangers of eczematous dermatitis

Eczematous dermatitis has different classifications. Clinically, it can be usually divided into autosensitive eczema, infantile eczema, and infectious eczema according to the type of eczema. The impact of these two types of eczema on babies cannot be ignored. Next, we will talk specifically about the dangers of eczematous dermatitis.

1. Eczema is a common allergic inflammatory skin disease. It is characterized by diverse rashes, symmetrical distribution, severe itching, recurrent attacks, and easy development into a chronic disease. It can occur at any age, in any part of the body, and in any season, but often recurs or worsens in winter. Eczematous dermatitis is a very serious skin disease that generally occurs most frequently in the summer. In the early or acute stage, the affected area has patches of erythema, dense or scattered small papules, or blisters that are difficult to see with the naked eye. In severe cases, there are large areas of exudate or erosion.

2. Allergic eczema: This type of eczema is mainly caused by allergic constitution. Before the onset of this eczema, there is an eczema lesion or other skin disease somewhere on the body, and the skin lesions appear as systemic, generalized, symmetrical eczematous changes.

3. Infectious eczematoid dermatitis eczema can spread to other parts of the skin, causing larger areas of infection. This disease often occurs secondary to bacterial suppurative skin diseases, such as otitis media, ulcers, fistulas and bedsores. A skin disease caused by secretions discharged from the above-mentioned lesions, which irritates or sensitizes the surrounding skin.
