Therefore, it can be used for dry heat damaging the lungs, dry cough with little sputum. For mild cases, it can be used with apricot kernel, radix adenophorae, fritillaria, etc., such as mulberry and apricot soup; for severe cases, it can be used with gypsum, ophiopogon japonicus, donkey-hide gelatin, etc. 2. Mulberry leaves have the effect of lowering blood pressure. Selection 1) Treat wind-heat in Taiyin meridians, with cough, mild fever, and slight thirst: 2 qian of almonds, 1.5 qian of forsythia, 8 fen of peppermint, 2.5 qian of mulberry leaves, 1 qian of chrysanthemum, 2 qian of bitter stems, 8 fen of licorice (raw), and 2 qian of reed root. Boil two cups of water and take one cup, take twice a day. Boil them into a decoction and wash the eyes with the warm water every day, or add Glauber's salt. (Binghu Collection of Prescriptions) 3) Washing eyes for wind-heat swelling and pain, dry and red eyes: Use two iron fans, pour half a cup of boiling water into it, cover it, and wait until the water is warm. When it turns yellow-green like strong tea, it is ready. Then wash your eyes and wipe them dry. After one or two hours, warm the medicine in a bowl of water and wash again. Do this three to five times a day. (《Yangsuyuan Prescription》) 4) Treat liver yin deficiency, blurred vision, persistent cough, rough skin and nails, numbness and insensitivity: 1 jin of young mulberry leaves (remove the stems, wash, dry and grind into powder), 4 liang of black sesame seeds (wash and clean). Crush sesame seeds, boil down to a thick juice, add one pound of white honey, refine until drops of water form beads, add mulberry leaf powder and make into pills the size of sycamore seeds.
