Who should check blood rheology?

Modern technology is becoming more and more advanced, and the most important manifestation of the development of technology is the enhancement of medical power. In medicine, there are various machines that can check people's physical condition. Checking blood rheology is a method to check physical condition, and checking blood rheology is mainly used to diagnose high blood pressure, high blood lipids, coronary heart disease and other diseases. So who needs to check blood rheology? Let me introduce it to you below.

Who should have their blood flow checked regularly?

Diabetes - If the blood viscosity of a diabetic patient increases significantly, there is a possibility of coronary heart disease, or the patient has already developed diabetic coronary heart disease.

Emphysema - If the viscosity of patients with chronic bronchitis and emphysema increases, it indicates the arrival of cor pulmonale or has developed to the stage of cor pulmonale.

Cachexia - If the blood viscosity of a cancer patient increases significantly, it can be estimated that the cancer cells may metastasize.

Cardiovascular disease - It can be used to predict the incidence of ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke, and can also be used for early prediction of coronary heart disease and myocardial infarction.

However, the blood rheology test results alone cannot determine the disease, but it can provide a basis for the diagnosis of the disease, and it must be combined with other examinations to confirm the diagnosis.

In order to ensure the accuracy of the physical examination, be sure to keep in mind the precautions for blood rheology testing:

1. It is best to take a shower or wash your arms before drawing blood, so that the blood can be disinfected better and the wound can be avoided from infection.

2. Do not eat greasy or high-protein foods and avoid drinking large amounts of alcohol a few days before blood draw. When testing blood sugar, there is no need to take hypoglycemic drugs in the morning and blood should be drawn on an empty stomach.

3. On the day of blood drawing, do not wear clothes with sleeves that are too small or too tight to avoid arm hematoma caused by tight sleeves during blood drawing.

4. Drink some water before blood drawing. Relax during blood drawing to avoid blood vessel contraction due to fear, which will increase the difficulty of blood drawing.

5. For general diseases or general examinations, blood should be collected in the morning on an empty stomach. Women should avoid the menstrual period.

Applied to the diagnosis of diseases:

Blood rheology examination is currently an indispensable item for diagnosing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases such as cerebral stroke, coronary heart disease, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and arteriosclerosis.

Diabetes, chronic nephritis, viral hepatitis, leukemia, advanced tumors, coagulopathy, chronic bronchitis, cor pulmonale, and blood stasis in traditional Chinese medicine may all have abnormal blood rheology indicators at a certain stage of the entire course of the disease. These abnormal changes have clinical significance that cannot be ignored.

Used in differential diagnosis:

It can be used for ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke, and can also be used for the differential diagnosis of myocardial angina and myocardial infarction.

Used for observation of therapeutic effects and guidance of medication:

Clinically, whether it is ischemic stroke or coronary heart disease, as well as other diseases with abnormal blood viscosity, blood rheology tests must be performed repeatedly during the treatment process to observe whether the blood viscosity and various indicators are normal.
