Classical Hodgkin's lymphoma

Most people in life are relatively clear about lymphoma, but they don’t know about classical Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Although it is also a type of lymphoma, this disease is completely different from other diseases, and both the cause of the disease and the chance of onset are different. Etiology and pathogenesis

1. Causes

The cause and pathogenesis of this disease are not yet very clear. It may be related to factors such as immunodeficiency, recurrent infection, hereditary or acquired immune disorders, which lead to the absence or dysfunction of T suppressor cells, long-term load on the immune regulatory function, abnormal proliferation response of immune cells, and ultimately unlimited proliferation, leading to the onset of the disease.

2. Pathogenesis

The disease is caused by external fire and wind dryness, or cold phlegm and stagnation, and internal causes of worry, anxiety, joy and anger, liver depression and qi stagnation, phlegm and fire, and qi stagnation and blood stasis, which accumulate and form a knot. Over time, the internal organs are weak, the liver and kidneys are deficient, and both qi and blood are deficient.

1. External toxins and accumulated heat are invaded by toxic evils. Over time, they turn into heat and fire. The heat damages the Qi and burns the internal organs. This is called evil heat and fire poison. The poison is accumulated inside and will develop into cancer over time.

2. Cold phlegm condenses due to weak spleen and stomach, abnormal water and moisture transportation and transformation, water gathers inside, body fluids cannot be distributed, moisture accumulates inside, and becomes dampness poison over time. The dampness poison spreads, causing sores, oozing juice and water, which do not heal for a long time. The body fluids cannot be transformed and are burned by the evil fire, and gradually condense into phlegm, which causes cancer over time.

3. Qi stagnation and blood stasis cause emotional discomfort, liver qi stagnation and poor internal qi movement, qi stagnation and blood stasis, which form a knot.

Deficiency of both Qi and blood leads to weakness of vital energy, internal organs deficiency, liver and kidney deficiency, prolonged disease, internal organ dysfunction, Qi and blood deficiency, damage to vital energy and the development of cancer. The most important research on the pathogenesis of Hodgkin's lymphoma is the viral etiology theory, which believes that viruses, especially the Epstein-Barr virus that can cause infectious mononucleosis, may be related to the occurrence of this disease. Although viral etiology has received attention, there is still a lack of direct and favorable evidence. There are many factors that play an important role in the occurrence of this disease: such as immunodeficiency (primary immunodeficiency, immunosuppression after organ transplantation, immune disorders secondary to various diseases), radiation, drugs (alkylating agents) and genetic factors. Some foreign scholars believe that the disease begins with a "tumor-inducing" viral infection, which causes persistent proliferation of lymphoid tissue and changes in the surface antigenicity of lymphocytes in the thymus system. These lymphocytes are in opposition to normal T lymphocytes, and the interaction leads to the formation of neoplastic reticular cells and terminal multinucleated giant reticular cells (ie, RS cells), and finally lymphatic immunity is exhausted and tumors occur.
