What to do if you have bloating, nausea and vomiting

1. Drink porridge and soup often: If you have bloating and burning sensation in your stomach, you can eat rice soup, barley soup or thin rice porridge or barley porridge frequently and in small amounts.

2. Drink some dilute vinegar: If the bloating is caused by indigestion, you can drink dilute vinegar two or three times a day. Add one tablespoon of rice vinegar to a cup of cold boiled water, mix well and drink. Drinking a glass of lemon water every morning can also help.

3. Warm fumigation of Zusanli acupoint: After a serious illness or overwork, if you feel mental fatigue and persistent abdominal distension, you can use dry moxa leaves to burn the Zusanli acupoint (1 to 2 cm apart), or you can use moxibustion through ginger. Each time is about 5 minutes, 1 or 2 times a day, for 3 to 5 days.

4. Do more exercise: If you don’t have any serious illness, you should increase exercise after bloating occurs, such as brisk walking, doing gymnastics, and tightening your abdomen.

5. Take acidophilus: Indigestion-type bloating can be improved with acidophilus, because the lack of these beneficial bacteria is the most common cause of indigestion. Open 10 capsules and take as a single serving, or use one tablespoon of powdered formula. People who are allergic to milk crystals can use preparations that do not contain cow's milk instead. Acidophilus is also a fairly safe enema. You may feel slight discomfort at first, but it will subside after about an hour.

6. Take charcoal tablets: Activated charcoal can effectively eliminate excess gas. Take 5 tablets immediately when you feel unwell. But if you are taking other medications, be aware that charcoal particles will absorb not only gases but also the drug ingredients. At the same time, never use it every day, because charcoal has a strong absorbent power and can absorb useful nutrients.
