Modern people are under great pressure in life. It is very common for many people to drink and socialize for work, work overtime, stay up late and overeat. Irregular life has caused many people to suffer from stomach problems. The onset of stomach problems will not only affect our lives, but also our daily work. If you suffer from gastroenteritis, you will also have diarrhea. Therefore, patients with stomach problems must pay attention to regular diet, eat more stomach-nourishing foods, and eat less irritating foods. Symptoms of acute gastroenteritis 1. Overeating before the onset of the disease, or eating unclean, rotten, or spoiled food. 2. Acute gastroenteritis has an acute onset, with initial symptoms including nausea and vomiting, accompanied by abdominal pain and diarrhea. The stool is mostly watery and may contain undigested food, mucus, and even blood. 3. Acute gastroenteritis is accompanied by fever, headache, general discomfort, and varying degrees of poisoning symptoms. 4. Patients with severe vomiting and diarrhea due to acute gastroenteritis may experience dehydration, acidosis, and even shock. 5. The signs of acute gastroenteritis are not obvious. During examination, there will be tenderness in the upper abdomen and around the umbilicus, no obvious muscle tension and rebound pain, and hyperactive bowel sounds. In addition, headache, fever and muscle aches are also common symptoms of acute gastroenteritis. A small number of patients with severe conditions may experience dehydration due to frequent vomiting and diarrhea. When the above symptoms occur, seek medical attention promptly and do not take painkillers or antidiarrhea drugs on your own. The use of these drugs can only temporarily relieve symptoms and may even mask the true condition and delay treatment.Commonly used drugs for the treatment of acute enteritis (1) Antispasmodics and analgesics: Antispasmodics can be used for abdominal pain, such as oral atropine 0.3-0.6 mg or propranolol 15 mg-30 mg, or intramuscular injection of scopolamine 5-10 mg, or 1 vial of Anabolic steroids. (2) Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory: In case of bacterial infection, antibiotics should be used, such as berberine 0.3g, 3 times a day, and co-trimoxazole, 1 to 2 tablets each time, 3 to 4 times a day. Norfloxacin 0.1-0.2, 3 times a day. Gentamycin 160,000 units, orally, 3 to 4 times a day. In case of severe vomiting or obvious dehydration, give intravenous drip of glucose saline. In case of acidosis, 5% sodium bicarbonate solution should be given intravenously. In case of upper gastrointestinal bleeding, fluid replacement or blood transfusion, ice water gastric lavage, and oral antacids should be given. |
