How to treat flying snake sores

Herpes zoster is a folk term. This symptom is medically known as shingles, which is a relatively common skin disease. It is contagious and can cause pain to patients to a great extent. Therefore, if you have symptoms such as shingles, you must actively receive treatment. Specific treatment methods include: drug therapy, nerve block and nerve destruction!

1. Drug therapy

(1) Antiviral drugs: Acyclovir, valacyclovir or famciclovir can be used.

Acyclovir can be used to treat shingles. The dosage must be controlled well, because this drug can cause great harm to the human kidneys. Be sure to take the drug according to the dosage prescribed by the doctor. Never change the dosage without authorization to avoid accidents. This medicine should never be used by people with poor kidney function.

(2) Drug treatment for neuralgia

Since patients often feel nerve pain after shingles, pain relief is very important. Proper use of analgesics can relieve patients' pain. However, when using analgesics, you should pay attention to the decrease in white blood cells and platelets in the body, and you should also pay attention to the patient's liver and kidney function.

① Antidepressants: The main drugs are paroxetine (Celestat), fluoxetine (Prozac), fluvoxil, sertraline, etc.;

② Anticonvulsants: carbamazepine, sodium valproate, etc.;

③Narcotic analgesics: analgesics represented by morphine. The available drugs include morphine (MSContin), hydroxymorphone (OxyContin), oxycodone, fentanyl (Durogesic), dihydroetofen, and Lugax. ④ Non-narcotic analgesics include NSAIDs, tramadol, aconite, capsaicin, etc.

2. Nerve Block

When severe pain is difficult to control with medication, direct and effective sensory nerve block therapy should be considered. The choice of block location should depend on the extent of the disease and its response to treatment. The general principle should be from shallow to deep, from simple to complex, from peripheral to nerve trunks and nerve roots.

3. Nerve damage

Radiofrequency temperature-controlled thermocoagulation for nerve destruction is the most direct and effective treatment method. Neurodestructive treatment also includes stereotactic radiotherapy of the medial thalamus (Gamma Knife or X-Knife), surgical subdural spinal cord dorsal root destruction, pituitary destruction, sympathetic trunk ganglion destruction, etc.
