Armpit discomfort and friction

Armpit discomfort and friction

In summer, people tend to sweat easily, and the part of the body that is most prone to sweating is the armpits. Many people have unpleasant odors under their armpits, which is caused by sweating. It is normal to sweat under the armpits. Sometimes it is accompanied by a feeling of discomfort, such as a sense of friction. This situation may be caused by a disease. If you often feel discomfort in your armpits, you should go to the hospital for a check-up.

Discomfort in the armpit is often a problem with the lymph nodes, which are caused by the proliferation of internal cells or the infiltration of tumor cells and increase in size.

Common clinical signs can be found by touching the submandibular, neck, supraclavicular fossa, axilla and groin areas, but enlarged lymph nodes in the hilum, mediastinum, retroperitoneum and mesentery can only be found by X-ray, CT and B-ultrasound. There are three common situations for enlarged lymph nodes:

① Benign swelling. This includes swelling caused by various infections, connective tissue diseases and allergic reactions. It often presents a benign clinical course and can be completely recovered within a certain period of time as the cause is removed.

② Malignant enlargement. This includes malignant tumors originating from lymph nodes, such as lymphoma, lymphocytic leukemia, and malignant histiocytosis, and lymph node metastasis of other malignant tumors, such as lung cancer, gastric cancer, and breast cancer. Clinically, the disease presents a malignant course, with continuous and progressive enlargement of lymph nodes. If not treated actively, it often leads to progressive deterioration and death.

③ Swelling between benign and malignant. Such as angioprimitive immune cell lymphadenopathy and angiofollicular lymphadenopathy. It is often benign at the beginning, but can become malignant and fatal. Therefore, after confirming lymph node enlargement, the key is to determine its cause and nature. Local enlargement with obvious pain often indicates infection; progressive painless enlargement often indicates malignant tumor disease. Bone marrow puncture, especially lymph node biopsy, can help confirm the diagnosis. The treatment of lymph node enlargement depends on the cause. For example, streptomycin and remifenamic acid can be used for lymph node tuberculosis. If it is malignant lymphoma, combined chemotherapy should be the main treatment. If it is advanced cancer metastasis, the prognosis is extremely poor.

Life care: Simple lymph node enlargement can subside, but you can also prevent it in the following ways.

1. Develop good living habits.

2. Maintain a good attitude, stable emotions, have healthy eating habits, eat more fruits and vegetables, etc., to improve your immunity.

3. People who have to work in heavy oil smoke areas should protect themselves as much as possible, such as wearing masks, going out to breathe some fresh air regularly, and getting an inspection at least once a year.

4. Keep away from smoke, alcohol, drugs, radiation, pesticides, noise, volatile harmful gases, toxic and harmful heavy metals, etc.

The above are about the discomfort in the armpits. Discomfort in the armpits may be a malignant tumor or a benign swelling. These all depend on the actual situation to be judged. If discomfort and swelling occur, you must go to the hospital for treatment. This can prevent the occurrence of malignant tumors. I hope everyone is healthy and happy.
