The penis is a special organ unique to men. Men attach more importance to it than one can imagine. In particular, a strong penis will make men feel much more confident. In daily life, we must take good care of the penis and pay attention to observe changes in the penis. Sometimes some men will find that there seems to be a tendon inside the penis, and it is relatively hard. When this happens, you should go to the hospital for examination. If there is a tendon on the penis, it may be due to varicose veins or lymphangitis. In this case, you need to go to the hospital for further diagnosis and targeted treatment. Varicose veins of the penis: The venous blood of the penis can flow back to the external superficial vein of the pudendum through the superficial dorsal vein of the penis, then be injected into the great saphenous vein, and return to the heart with the veins of the lower limbs. It can also enter the pelvic cavity through the deep dorsal vein of the penis, and then merge into the internal pudendal vein to return to the heart. If it is a simple varicose vein of the penis, it may be caused by the obstruction or blockage of the superficial dorsal vein of the penis or the deep dorsal vein of the penis. There are many reasons for this condition, which may be foreign objects in the vein, stones or compression of the vein wall. Treatment should be based on different causes. If the venous wall is compressed, surgery is required to relieve the pressure on the venous wall. If there is a foreign body or stone in the vein, it is more difficult to treat and requires penile venography for diagnosis before appropriate surgery can be performed. There is no other drug treatment except surgery. If varicose veins appear not only in the penis but also in the scrotum and lower limbs, then it is necessary to consider that the veins in the lower limbs are also blocked or obstructed, and surgical treatment is also required. Sclerosing lymphangitis of the penis It is a disease in which the lymphatic fibrosis of the penis proliferates, presenting as sclerosis and hypertrophy. The cause of the disease is still unclear, but factors such as viral infection, trauma, and local mechanical stimulation may all lead to the disease. This disease is more common in young and middle-aged people aged 20 to 40. The most common site of occurrence is the coronal sulcus, followed by the back of the penis. Typical skin lesions are curved, raised cords that resemble earthworms, about 2 cm to 3.5 cm long, with a shiny purple surface, translucent, slightly hard like cartilage, and can slide without adhesion to the surface skin; there are generally no conscious symptoms or mild pain. The course of the disease is self-limited. Most cases can be absorbed and disappear on their own after 4 to 6 weeks, while some cases may take several years to disappear. Occasionally, ulcers may form. Since most of the diseases can be resolved and absorbed on their own, no special treatment is required. If ulcers occur, apply compound cod liver oil ointment externally. If more serious surface symptoms occur, patients can go to a professional hospital for consultation and treatment. |
