What is the reason for ejaculation during sleep?

The phenomenon of ejaculation during sleep is called nocturnal emission, also known as wet dream. This situation generally refers to the overflow of semen, that is, long-term abstinence leads to more stored semen. During sleep, you may have some associative dreams, which can easily lead to ejaculation. Of course, there are also some pathological ejaculations, which are common in some middle-aged and elderly people. If this phenomenon occurs frequently, you should go to the hospital for examination in time.

What is the reason for ejaculation during sleep?

1. Pathological Pathological spermatorrhea is more common in middle-aged and elderly people, or those with congenital physical deficiencies. People with dull complexion, tired body, heavy smoking, excessive drinking, overeating of fatty and sweet foods, obese or weak body, frequent masturbation, excessive sexual intercourse, and unfulfilled sexual desires. The frequency of nocturnal emission is frequent, some occur at night, or ejaculate spontaneously when awake, the amount of semen is small and thin, the penis is not erect during nocturnal emission, or cannot be erected at all, and symptoms such as mental fatigue, soreness of the waist and knees, tinnitus, dizziness, and physical weakness appear after nocturnal emission.

2. Physiological

Men generally experience nocturnal emissions after they reach puberty. In modern society, the normal age for first wet dreams ranges from eleven or twelve to fifteen or even sixteen years old. Nocturnal emission is a sign of sexual maturity in men, also known as "overflowing semen". It is caused by excessive accumulation of semen, so it is also called spermatorrhea, which is a physiological phenomenon. Nocturnal emissions mostly occur during sleep and are a type of ejaculation without sexual activity. Statistics show that more than 80% of unmarried men have experienced nocturnal emission, usually 2 to 3 times a month. As long as the body and mind are healthy, it will not cause any adverse effects. However, you must be careful not to have any psychological burden.

Physiological nocturnal emission is more common in young and middle-aged people who are unmarried or separated after marriage. A healthy person who is in good health and full of energy, or easily excited, or tired and nervous. Generally, it occurs once every two weeks or longer, with large amounts of spermatorrhea and thick semen. During spermatorrhea, the penis has normal erectile function and is not accompanied by other symptoms. (Sleeping on your stomach, using a quilt that is too thick, too heavy, or too warm in winter, which can cause the external genitalia to be compressed, rubbed, or stimulated, or wearing tight clothes that can constrict and squeeze the erect penis, can easily lead to an increase in the number of nocturnal emissions.)
