Precautions for Hepatitis A Vaccine

Getting vaccinated is something that everyone has experienced. For healthy growth of newborns, they will be given many kinds of vaccines within a few days after birth. The therapeutic effect of each vaccine is different. Vaccination is very beneficial to the human body. It can prevent the occurrence of various diseases and infectious diseases, and also has the effect of enhancing immunity. Hepatitis A, hepatitis B, antiviral vaccines, etc., all need to be administered.

You cannot take any medicines such as hepatitis A vaccine for five to seven days before getting the hepatitis A vaccine. You are also not allowed to get the vaccine during a fever. After the vaccination, there will be many adverse reactions. If you still feel uncomfortable after seventy-two hours, you need to go to the hospital for examination.

What should you pay attention to when getting the hepatitis A vaccine? This is a question that everyone is concerned about. In this regard, professionals have made a detailed introduction to the precautions for the hepatitis A vaccine.

1. When administering the hepatitis A vaccine, after it is taken out of the freezer and has completely melted, but cannot be administered for some reason, the hepatitis A vaccine must be stored in an environment of 2°C to 8°C and must not be placed back into the freezer.

2. Before vaccinating with hepatitis A vaccine, you should first check for any abnormalities. After confirming that it is correct, shake it well and inject it after disinfection. Pay attention to strict aseptic operation to ensure the safety of vaccination, and pay attention to the formal destruction of injection equipment to prevent cross infection.

3. After receiving the hepatitis A vaccine, you should pay attention to observe whether there are allergic reactions, that is, local and systemic reactions. Before receiving the hepatitis A vaccine, you should prepare emergency medicines and drugs for hypersensitivity reactions so that they can be treated promptly and effectively.

4. After receiving the hepatitis A vaccine, a few people may experience local pain, redness, swelling, and occasional rash, but no special treatment is required. It usually resolves on its own within 72 hours.

5. For those who have a fever and their body temperature exceeds 37.5 degrees Celsius, they should be vaccinated with hepatitis A vaccine after their body temperature returns to normal.

6. Children with allergies, immunodeficiency, those receiving immunosuppressive drugs and pregnant women should not be vaccinated with hepatitis A vaccine; patients suffering from acute infectious diseases or other serious diseases should not be vaccinated with hepatitis A vaccine.

7. Hepatitis A vaccine does not recommend the simultaneous injection of multiple vaccines. Interval injections can avoid allergies caused by vaccine injections; avoid allergic reactions that make it difficult to distinguish which vaccine caused the allergic reaction, thereby delaying timely treatment.

It is best not to take a shower a few days before the vaccination. You should take a shower a few days later to avoid infection and symptoms such as colds. You also need to be careful about what you eat. Try not to eat raw, cold, or irritating foods, and do not eat seafood. Avoid strenuous exercise.
