What to do if your hands are rough and calloused

In daily life, we cannot avoid doing some rough, tiring, and strenuous work, which requires a lot of strength from our hands. Over time, thick calluses form on our hands due to long-term wear and tear. What should we do if calluses grow on our hands and they are particularly rough? How can we remove them? Soaking in warm water is the most effective way. After soaking, grind off the thick skin and then apply hand cream.

Hand calluses are formed due to long-term friction, aging and death of tissue cells, and severe damage to the stratum corneum.

How to solve the problem of calloused hands:

When taking a shower or soaking your hands and feet in warm water, use the lemon as a brush to vigorously rub the calloused areas on your hands and feet. Due to frequent activities, the skin in these parts easily keratinizes and becomes hard and thick skin. If the crust is too thick, rub it with a pumice stone first and then with a lemon. Brewed lemon tea or used crushed lemon slices wrapped in gauze can also be used as a brush. After washing, the cuticle softens quickly, the black skin and stratum corneum fall off, revealing the original white color.

Calluses on the hands are medically called calluses. Sometimes it is related to the way of working, and frequent friction can easily cause calluses. Medically, some keratin peeling agents such as 5%-10% salicylic acid ointment, or even 30% salicylic acid collodion, can be used to help calluses.

②Calluses are formed when the skin rubs against objects for a long time.

When you have nothing to do, rub the calloused area with your hands to improve blood circulation.

Use scissors to cut off the outer skin of the callus.

Use some body lotion regularly to make the calloused skin slowly return to its previous smoothness.

Soak your calloused hands in warm water, apply ointment or medicine prescribed by the doctor, and wrap them with gauze overnight. The medicine contains ingredients that can soften the stratum corneum on the soles of the feet. After the calluses soften, gently scrape off the dead skin with a knife, and then apply deeply moisturizing hand cream. Before long, the calluses will completely disappear.

It can also be removed with a pumice stone. Remember to give your hands special exfoliating care once a week. Use a small amount of scrub to massage your wrists to remove dead skin, then soak them in warm water with olive oil for 5 minutes. Finally, dry them and apply hand cream.
