Pain-sensitive constitution

Pain-sensitive constitution

Different people have different physiques, and these physiques are divided into many types, including the pain-sensitive physique. This type of people is particularly prone to pain sensitivity, and the data of the internal tissues of people in this situation are also different from those of ordinary people. So what does pain-sensitive physique mean?

Generally, people who are prone to allergic reactions and allergic diseases but cannot find the cause of the disease are called "sensitive constitution". People with a "sensitive constitution" may develop various allergic reactions and allergic diseases. For example, some suffer from eczema, urticaria, some suffer from allergic asthma, and some are particularly sensitive to certain drugs and may develop drug-induced dermatitis or even exfoliative dermatitis. However, occasional high reactivity to a known factor cannot be called a "sensitive constitution."

From an immunological perspective, people with "sensitive constitutions" often have the following characteristics: ① Immunoglobulin E (IgE) is an antibody that mediates allergic reactions. The IgE content in normal human serum is extremely low, while the serum IgE content of some people with "sensitive constitutions" is 1,000 to 10,000 times higher than that of normal people.

In normal people, there is a certain ratio between helper T cells 1 (Th1) and helper T cells 2 (Th2). The two cells coordinate to keep the body's immunity balanced. Th2 cells tend to be dominant in some people with "sensitive constitutions". Th2 cells can secrete a substance called interleukin-4 (IL-4), which can induce the synthesis of IgE and increase serum IgE levels.

③The normal human gastrointestinal tract has a variety of digestive enzymes, which can completely break down protein foods that enter the gastrointestinal tract before being absorbed into the blood. However, some people with "sensitive constitutions" lack digestive enzymes, so the protein is absorbed into the blood without being fully broken down, allowing foreign proteins to enter the body and cause gastrointestinal allergic reactions. Such patients often also lack the protective antibody distributed on the surface of the intestinal mucosa - secretory immunoglobulin A (sIgA). The lack of such antibodies can cause intestinal bacteria to cause inflammation on the mucosal surface, thereby accelerating the intestinal mucosa's absorption of foreign proteins and inducing gastrointestinal allergic reactions.

The normal human body contains a certain amount of histamine enzyme, which has a destructive effect on the histamine released by certain cells during allergic reactions (which can cause smooth muscle contraction, capillary dilation, increased permeability, etc.). Therefore, even if a normal person has an allergic reaction to certain substances, the symptoms are not obvious. However, some people with "sensitive constitutions" lack histaminease and cannot destroy the histamine that triggers allergic reactions, resulting in obvious allergic symptoms. The root causes of the above-mentioned immunological abnormalities are often closely related to genetics.
