What to use on children's wounds without leaving scars

In daily life, some bumps and bruises are inevitable and cannot be avoided, especially for families with children. The baby's skin is very white and delicate, and it is easy to get hurt by a bump. Especially when learning to walk, falling is commonplace, especially in summer, as long as you fall, you will definitely get injured. What worries mothers is what method can be used to prevent the wound from leaving scars?

How to deal with children's injuries without leaving scars? Let's take a look:

1. Alcohol and hydrogen peroxide are highly irritating to normal tissues. You should use mild disinfectants such as iodine tincture or active iodine, combined with normal saline, that are less irritating to tissues.

2. For some wounds, gauze and other dressings can indeed isolate the wound from the outside world and play an antibacterial role. However, for abrasions or some wounds with a lot of exudation or secretions, it is better to use the "drying" method instead of bandaging to keep the wound dry.

3. The water discharged from the wound is mostly serum or normal tissue exudate, and no special treatment is required. Once the wound has sticky and turbid exudate accompanied by redness and swelling of the wound, it may be infected and you should see a doctor as soon as possible.

4. Itching of the wound may be caused by local rash caused by contaminated gauze and other auxiliary materials.

5. When the baby's wound is larger than 1 cm, it is recommended to suture the wound. If the wound is not sutured and relies solely on its own contraction and scabbing, it is likely to leave obvious scars.

6. Dark-colored foods will not affect wound healing. If you want to prevent the wound from becoming pigmented and infected or inflamed, just pay attention to sun protection.

8. After suturing the wound, remove the iodine first, clean the wound with saline, and then apply iodine again.

9. Keep the wound clean and avoid contact with water for about 3 days. Cover it with waterproof material.

It is inevitable that children will get injured. The main thing is that parents should treat the wounds promptly and correctly after the injury and try not to leave scars on children.
