Chin peeling, redness, roughness and dryness

Chin peeling, redness, roughness and dryness

Peeling, redness, roughness and dryness of the chin are most likely caused by chronic dermatitis. The human body is exposed to some allergens, which leads to a decrease in the skin's protective ability, followed by phenomena such as peeling, redness, roughness and dryness of the skin. During the treatment of this disease, it is best not to use any skin care products, otherwise it will aggravate the irritation to the skin and aggravate the condition. Avoid sunlight exposure and eat less spicy and irritating foods.

What are the symptoms of atopic dermatitis?

Infancy: Also known as infantile eczema, it usually occurs 1-6 months after birth, and is manifested by acute inflammation with exudative skin on the head, face, and extensor side of the limbs. Symptoms include skin erythema, papules, papular rash, exudation, and crusting. It may also be light red spots, papules, dryness, and mild desquamation. The disease often alternates between remission and flare-ups, and the rash usually subsides and heals by the age of 2.

Childhood: It often evolves from infancy, and some cases go directly to childhood without going through infancy. The lesions mainly affect the cubital fossa, popliteal fossa, and flexor side of the wrist. Eczematous skin lesions are mainly manifested by erythema, papules, erosions, exudation and crusting, but often manifest as chronic damage such as local skin thickening and pigmentation. The prurigo type often occurs on the extensor side of the limbs, and manifests as scattered dark red or skin-colored papules and nodules, and enlarged superficial lymph nodes. Some children may develop allergic rhinitis or asthma.

Adolescents and adults: Dry skin and severe itching. The lesions are mainly on the flexor side, but the extensor side may also be affected. The head, neck and eyelids are severely lesioned. The lesions are infiltrated and thickened and present a lichen-like appearance. Some lesions manifest as chronic hand dermatitis, while others may spread throughout the body. It may be accompanied by juvenile cataracts, ichthyosis, periorbital melanoma, xeroderma, palmar print signs, keratosis pilaris, cheilitis, and is prone to bacterial, viral and fungal infections.

How to prevent and treat dry skin?

1. Work hard on your diet

If you want to have supple skin, you should first work on your diet and drink plenty of warm or cool boiled water of good quality.

Modern people eat a lot of dehydrated and processed refined foods for the sake of convenience, which will directly affect the absorption of water, causing the body to gradually become dehydrated and the skin to lose its luster. They should eat less spicy foods, beef, mutton, onions, garlic and other irritating foods. Tomatoes can help with digestion and anti-aging; carrots can relieve dry skin.

2. External work cannot be omitted

In addition, external efforts are also very important. For example, if the skin loses water due to air conditioning, you can use spray mineral water to replenish the moisture, and then use moisturizer to lock in the sprayed moisture.

3. Wash out tender skin

When autumn comes, the first thing to do is to change your bathing habits. Put away the bath lotion containing cooling substances temporarily and take out the moisturizing bath lotion. Do not use soap with strong alkaline properties, otherwise your skin will easily become dry and flaky.

Try using olive oil in your skin care products. Vitamins A, D and E in olive oil have a good therapeutic effect on dry and allergic skin. Using sugar cubes to moisturize the skin is a "secret recipe" of the older generation. Dissolve a sugar cube in a basin of hot water and then rub it on your body. It has a very good skin care effect.
