TCM treatment of anal incontinence

If you have anal incontinence, you can use traditional Chinese medicine to treat it. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that long-term diarrhea, spleen damage and intestine damage can cause anal incontinence, so it can be improved through acupuncture, massage, and traditional Chinese medicine conditioning formulas.

1. Reasons

According to traditional Chinese medicine, long-term dysentery and diarrhea can damage the spleen and intestines, cause the qi to sink, and cause anal prolapse, which can lead to incontinence. In addition, spleen and kidney deficiency, spleen deficiency and muscle atrophy, kidney deficiency and failure to control anal contraction, and fecal incontinence can occur. Clinically it is divided into two types.

① Long-term diarrhea and loose stools, and sinking of the middle qi: After a long period of dysentery, stool will flow out from time to time, and even prolapse of the anus will not be able to close. The body will become thin, the spirit will be depressed, the appetite will be poor, and the body will be tired; the tongue will be pale and fat, and the pulse will be deep, thin and weak.

② Deficiency of spleen and kidney: old age and physical weakness, deficiency after illness, or sexual exhaustion that damages the kidney, worry that damages the spleen, resulting in anal dysfunction, unconscious discharge of feces and mucus, fear of cold and cold limbs, cold limbs, poor appetite and abdominal distension, back pain and tinnitus, clear and long urination; pale and fat tongue, deep and thin pulse.

2. Treatment Methods

①Acupuncture and massage treatment

a. Acupuncture

Main acupoints: Lift Anus and Changqiang.

Acupoints: Shenshu, Mingmen, Baihui, Zusanli, Sanyinjiao, Guanyuan.

Moxibustion: the above-mentioned acupoints.

b. Massage:

Keep doing pelvic floor exercises, 30 times each morning and evening;

Massage the Zusanli, Guanyuan, Changqiang and other acupoints.

These therapies have certain effects on anal incontinence.

② Treatment with Chinese medicine

a. Qi deficiency and sinking

Treatment: Nourish the middle and replenish Qi, astringe and consolidate.

Prescription: Buzhong Yiqi Decoction combined with Zhenren Yangzang Decoction with modifications.

b. Deficiency of spleen and kidney

Treatment: Strengthen the spleen and kidneys, strengthen muscles and bones.

Prescription: Pi Shen Liang Zhu Pills.
