What to do for male back pain

Men are prone to low back pain. There are many reasons for this. It may be caused by kidney deficiency or urinary and reproductive system infections. For example, stones and prostatitis may cause severe low back pain. In addition, liver and kidney diseases are also an important cause of low back pain. You should go to the hospital for relevant examinations in time.

Causes of low back pain in men

prostatitis. Male friends should pay special attention to lower back pain or lower abdominal pain, and not ignore the relationship between the two just because their locations are a little far from the prostate. The back pain caused by prostatitis is mainly pain in the lumbar sacral area. If men experience this phenomenon, they should go to a men's hospital for treatment immediately.

Urinary tract infection. Patients with typical urinary tract infections, especially those caused by Chlamydia and Mycoplasma, may experience obvious symptoms of low back pain, back pain, and perineal swelling, as well as frequent urination, urgency, pain, and itching. If the infection is not treated promptly, the bacteria will multiply and cause diseases such as prostatitis, vas deferens, epididymis and cystitis, which can be serious enough to affect the quality of life and family life and cause male infertility.

Kidney deficiency. Men's low back pain may also be caused by kidney deficiency. The symptoms of kidney deficiency in terms of sexual function are mainly: decreased sexual function, decreased male sexual interest, decreased libido, impotence or soft penis, spermatorrhea, spermatorrhea, premature ejaculation, etc. Microscopic examination can show a decrease in sperm or decreased sperm motility, which can lead to male infertility.

stone. Common stones include kidney stones, urethral stones, bladder stones, etc. Due to the different organs affected, the mechanism of stone formation, its composition, shape, texture, and effects on the body are all different. In general, stones can cause obstruction of the lumen, affect the discharge of fluid from the affected organs, and cause symptoms such as pain, bleeding, or secondary infection.

1. CT examination: It can clearly show the osteophytes on the anterior and posterior edges of the vertebral body, the location and degree of compression of the dura mater sac, spinal cord, and nerve roots, measure the anterior-posterior diameter and transverse diameter of the spinal canal, and understand whether the intervertebral foramen and transverse foramen are narrow, whether the vertebral lamina is thickened, etc.

2. Take X-rays: This is a routine examination for patients with low back pain. — Generally, anteroposterior, lateral, and left and right oblique films should be taken, and lateral films with the neck flexed and extended should be taken if necessary. The anteroposterior radiograph may reveal narrowing of the intervertebral disc, bone hyperplasia of the uncovertebral joint, and thickening of the pedicle. The lateral view can reveal that the physiological protrusion of the cervical spine disappears, a bony lip is formed at the anterior and posterior edges of the vertebral body, and the intervertebral space and spinal canal are narrowed. Oblique views can be used to determine the condition of the intervertebral foramen.

3. Magnetic resonance imaging: It can clearly show the posterior protrusion of the intervertebral disc tissue, the compression of the dura mater sac and spinal cord, whether there is venous obstruction or compression, and whether there are cystic lesions in the local spinal cord.

4. Color ultrasound: It is a high-definition black and white B-ultrasound plus a color Doppler. It is mainly used to examine the situation within the abdominal cavity. Most hospitals use color ultrasound, which can check prostate diseases, stones, etc. Before doing color ultrasound, you need to drink more water and hold your urine, which can effectively check the cause of the patient's illness.
