Leg tremors are quite common in our daily life. There are many reasons causing leg tremors, including physiological reasons and disease reasons. For example, ADHD in adults is a common reason. This group of people has certain attention deficits and often experience this kind of tremor. In addition, Parkinson's disease is also prone to cause leg tremors. Of course, there are also some psychological and emotional reasons. What causes leg shaking? 1. Adult ADHD Adult ADHD symptoms are inattention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity, which change as people age. For example: inattention is no longer about not paying attention in lectures, but about being unwilling to do boring work; hyperactivity is no longer about playing and fighting, but about being restless and irritable; impulsiveness is no longer about getting angry, but about doing things without thinking and behaving rashly. These symptoms can lead to many troubles in adulthood, such as poor work efficiency, disharmonious interpersonal relationships, careless spending, and promiscuous sexual behavior. Characteristics: ADHD mainly manifests itself in thinking. He had a history of ADHD in childhood. Have emotional disorders such as anxiety and depression. The symptoms improved significantly after taking central nervous system stimulants. The personality is not sound, with varying degrees of personality disorder or social adaptability disorder. There is no unified diagnostic standard at present, and the reference standard is: learning difficulties and short attention span in early years; diffuse and severe anxiety, depression or other equivalent symptoms in adulthood; very significant improvement in symptoms after taking promethazine; mental status examination is characterized by rapid speech flow and changeable topics, but no obvious psychotic thinking characteristics (such as pathological elaboration and involvment ideas). 2. Parkinson's disease or Parkinson's syndrome Tremor should be a resting tremor, that is, it occurs when the patient is at rest. Tremor is often the earliest manifestation of the disease, usually starting from the distal end of one upper limb, mainly the thumb, index finger and middle finger, and manifests as the fingers moving like rolling a ball or counting money. Then it gradually spreads to the ipsilateral lower limbs and contralateral limbs, and in the late stage it may affect the mandible, lips, tongue and head. In the early stages of the disease, patients do not pay much attention to tremors, which often occur when fingers or limbs are in a certain position and disappear when the posture is changed. Later, it develops into an involuntary tremor that only occurs when the limbs are still, such as when watching TV or talking to others. The limbs suddenly tremble involuntarily, and the tremor decreases or stops when changing position or moving, so it is called resting tremor. This is the most important feature of Parkinson's disease tremor. Tremors worsen when the patient is emotionally excited or mentally stressed and may completely disappear during sleep. Another characteristic of tremor is its rhythmicity, with the frequency of vibration being 4-7 times per second. And it is usually asymmetrical. You can try taking adamantane, levodopa or madopa, sinometabolic steroids, etc. 3. Diabetes It is prone to complications of neuritis and vascular disease in the extremities. 4. Tics The main symptoms of tics are multiple involuntary tics, language or behavioral disorders. Tics usually occur between the ages of 3 and 15 and are more common in males than in females, with a ratio of (3-4):1. Thiapride is a classic drug for treating tics. 5. Restless Legs Syndrome Restless legs syndrome is a common disorder. Mostly occurs in adults. The main symptoms are: 1. Onset before falling asleep; 2. Involuntary shaking, soreness, numbness, swelling, pain, crawling sensation, and burning sensation in both (or one) lower limbs; 3. Serious impact on sleep. When patients are ill, they often relieve pain by tapping the lower limbs, taking a walk, massaging, etc. The symptoms disappear after falling asleep, and there are no related symptoms during the day. |
