Why is the donated blood not up to standard?

1. Excessive transaminase. The concentration of transaminase in the human body is directly related to the quality of blood. Some people's transaminase levels are higher than 10U/L due to poor rest, colds, excessive fatigue, drinking, etc., which exceeds the blood donation standard. This is a common phenomenon of failing to meet the blood donation requirements. Generally, you can just take a good rest and donate blood next time.

2. Hepatitis B infection Hepatitis B infected people or hepatitis B patients will have a large amount of hepatitis B virus surface antigen or hepatitis C virus antibody in their blood. This is also included in the blood test items for blood donation. Therefore, these carriers cannot donate blood.

3. AIDS: There is a large amount of HIV in the body of AIDS patients, and HIV antibodies can also be found in the blood. AIDS is extremely contagious, and one of the transmission routes is blood. Therefore, they cannot donate blood.

4. Anemia Some people are anemia patients themselves, and the hemoglobin content in their blood is obviously insufficient. Such patients are prone to symptoms such as blood fainting and shock when donating blood, and are also among the group that cannot donate blood. It is recommended that this group of people replenish their nutrition first and then consider donating blood after they recover their health.

5. Too high fat content Some people eat high-fat foods, such as fatty meat, eggs, fried dough sticks, peanuts, etc., the night before and on the day of blood donation, which leads to too high fat content in the blood, which is fatty blood. However, transfusion of fatty blood may cause adverse reactions such as allergies, fever, and fat embolism. Therefore, such people are not suitable for blood donation. It is best to eat a light diet before donating blood to keep the blood clean.
