Bloody stool, left lower abdominal pain

Bloody stool, left lower abdominal pain

Hemorrhoids are a relatively common anorectal disease. Many people are troubled by hemorrhoids in life. When suffering from hemorrhoids, it will cause great harm to the patient's health. Many hemorrhoid patients will experience stronger pain and blood in the stool. When the condition is serious, prolapse will occur. When suffering from hemorrhoids, you need to adjust your diet and eat more light food, and go to the hospital for treatment in time.

Bloody stool, left lower abdominal pain

This situation is probably caused by hemorrhoids or rectal polyps, which cause bloody stools and pain in the lower left abdomen, and is closely related to bad living and eating habits and constipation. In such cases, you should go to a regular hospital for a colonoscopy in time to find out the cause, receive treatment under the guidance of a doctor, and eat a light diet to keep your stools soft and unobstructed.

Symptoms of hemorrhoids

1. Bleeding in the stool (no pain but sometimes bright red in the stool);

2. Painful bowel movements (pain in the anus during bowel movements);

3. Anal pain: It feels like there is a weight in the anus, falling outwards. This is mainly a symptom of external hemorrhoids. In mild cases, there is a feeling of fullness and falling, while in severe cases, there will be a feeling of heaviness and pain.

4. If the internal hemorrhoids become infected, prolapse and cannot go back, or are twisted together and become necrotic, this can also cause severe pain.

Non-surgical treatments for hemorrhoids

(1) General treatment

It is suitable for most hemorrhoids, including the early stages of thrombotic and incarcerated hemorrhoids. Pay attention to your diet, avoid alcohol and spicy foods, increase fiber foods, eat more fruits and vegetables, drink more water, change bad bowel habits, keep bowel movements smooth, take laxatives when necessary, and clean the anus after defecation. For prolapsed hemorrhoids, be careful to gently push the hemorrhoids back with your hands to prevent them from falling out again. Avoid sitting or standing for long periods of time, do appropriate exercise, take a sitz bath with warm water (which may contain potassium permanganate) before going to bed, etc.

(2) Local medication treatment

It has been widely used, and the medicines include suppositories, ointments and lotions, most of which contain Chinese herbal ingredients.

(3) Oral medication

Drugs are usually used to treat varicose veins.

(4) Injection therapy

It is more effective for grade I and II bleeding internal hemorrhoids; the sclerosant is injected around the venous plexus in the submucosal layer to cause inflammatory reaction and fibrosis, thereby compressing and closing the varicose veins; the treatment can be repeated after 1 month to avoid injecting the sclerosant into the mucosal layer and causing necrosis.

(5) Physical therapy

Laser therapy, cryotherapy, direct current therapy and copper ion electrochemical therapy, microwave thermocoagulation therapy, and infrared coagulation therapy are less commonly used.

(6) Rubber band ligation

The root of the hemorrhoids is ligated to block its blood supply and cause the hemorrhoids to fall off and necrotize; it is suitable for II and III degree internal hemorrhoids, and is more suitable for giant internal hemorrhoids and fibrotic internal hemorrhoids.
