Mental illness is a relatively common disease with many symptoms. For example, some mentally ill patients often talk to themselves. In addition, mentally ill patients often experience changes in their emotions. Sometimes they are complacent, and sometimes they are depressed. Their mood swings are very large. In addition, they may also cause some physical symptoms, such as weight loss and poor gastrointestinal function. 1. Emotional changes: The early emotional changes of mental patients are often manifested as high spirits, complacency, arrogance, meddling in other people's affairs, bragging, boasting, starting things but not finishing them, temper tantrums, or low moods, melancholy, gloomy eyebrows, sighing, loss of interest and pleasure in activities that they usually enjoy, and a significant decrease in appetite, weight loss, easy fatigue, and obvious tiredness after doing the slightest thing. Self-evaluation and self-confidence are reduced, and people feel that the future is bleak and pessimistic. 2. Neurotic symptoms: Psychiatric patients often experience some neurological symptoms, such as headaches, insomnia, fatigue, inattention, emotional instability, decreased work and study ability, etc. When using the brain, the mind is easily excited, it is difficult to fall asleep, there are many dreams after sleeping, and feeling tired after waking up, which eventually leads to loss of sleep sense and disorder of sleep-wake rhythm. 3. Lack of concentration and memory loss: Persistent and distressing mental fatigue (such as feeling listless, feeling mentally slow, difficulty concentrating or not paying attention, poor memory, forgetfulness, being careless, and decreased thinking and work efficiency) and physical fatigue that cannot be restored through rest or recreation. 4. Personality changes: For example, a person who was originally enthusiastic and sociable may become cold, distant, withdrawn and unsociable, taciturn, prefer to be alone, avoid relatives and friends and be hostile, live a lazy and undisciplined life. Or a well-educated person may become rude, lose his temper, and be impolite to others. 5. Behavioral changes: Some mentally ill patients exhibit strange movements and behaviors, with increased, rigid, repetitive, and purposeless movements; some behave slowly, live a lazy life, and are unable to work or do housework; some collect meaningless items and even carry unnecessary things such as fruit peels and waste paper with them; some wash repeatedly or perform stereotyped ritual-like movements, etc. 6. Sensitive and suspicious: If someone suspects that someone is saying bad things about him, then he will pay attention to what others say and do. Every move is insinuated against him, and he even believes that the content on TV, radio, and newspapers is related to him. Some people feel that their colleagues, neighbors, and even parents and brothers are harming him, and they are afraid and uneasy. This kind of person often firmly believes in his own ideas, and no persuasion or explanation from others can change his views. |
