Lung nodules are a disease that occurs in our human body. This disease has two types of symptoms: benign and malignant. This is a disease of our lungs, and we should treat it in time after the disease occurs because it is possible to worsen. However, many people do not know the cause of this situation. So why would lung nodules worsen in a month? Pulmonary nodules (sarcoidosis) is a multi-system and multi-organ granulomatous disease of unknown etiology. It often invades the lungs, bilateral hilar lymph nodes, eyes, skin and other organs. The chest invasion rate is as high as 80% to 90%. Pulmonary nodules appear as round or quasi-circular lesions on CT images and must be analyzed and judged based on the size of the nodule, the internal signs of the nodule, the signs of the nodule itself, the signs surrounding the nodule, and the growth rate of the nodule. Therefore, making a clear diagnosis of lung nodules is the focus, difficulty and hot spot of current clinical research. Pulmonary nodules are distributed worldwide, with a higher incidence in European and American countries and rare in Oriental ethnic groups. They are more common in people aged 20 to 40 years old, and slightly more common in women than in men. It has recently attracted widespread attention in China, and more than 560 cases have been reported in China (1987). It depends on how big the original lung nodule is. The doubling time of malignant lung tumors is generally about two months. Of course, small cell carcinoma will be a little faster, about 20 days or so. If it is a very small nodule, it will grow by three millimeters in a short period of time. For example, if this nodule was originally three millimeters in size and it increased by three millimeters, its volume may have increased by 2-3 times. This may be inflammation and should not be a tumor. However, if the nodule itself is already very large, for example, four or five centimeters, and it increases by three millimeters, it is not a big problem for the nodule, and it may be a measurement error. So we need to look at the size of the specific lesion. The doubling time of malignant tumors is generally around two months, from 40 to 60 days. Then the inflammation will change very quickly, perhaps within a few days. Then there are benign nodules. The time it takes to change is usually measured in years, maybe one or two years. This is a very important sign for us to distinguish between benign and malignant nodules. |
