Is a bumblebee sting poisonous?

Summer is the season with the most insects. Many times, people get bitten by insects without knowing it. Hornets are scary insects that can sting people, and their stings are very painful. But as long as people don't provoke bees, they usually won't sting people, because after stinging people, they themselves will lose their lives. Some people will experience redness, swelling and allergic reactions on their skin after being stung by a bumblebee, but will being stung by a bumblebee cause poisoning?

Generally, wasp venom is weakly alkaline and can be used to scrub the wound with vinegar, 1% acetic acid or Wuji ointment. The stinger remaining in the wound can be picked out with a needle or tweezers, but do not squeeze it to prevent the remaining toxin from entering the body. Then use cupping to suck out the venom and reduce the absorption of toxins. Applying ice to the sting can reduce pain and swelling. If the pain is severe, you can take some painkillers. If there is a tendency to spread, there may be an allergic reaction. You can take some anti-allergic drugs, such as diphenhydramine, promethazine and other anti-allergic drugs. Observe closely for about half an hour. If you find any difficulty breathing, rough breathing, or wheezing, even a little bit, immediately go to the nearest hospital for emergency treatment.

1. After being stung by a hornet, you will generally experience symptoms of poisoning such as pain, itching, congestion and swelling, but if there are no obvious symptoms after 20 minutes, you can rest assured.

In mild cases, there are erythema, papules or urticaria in the center of the injury, with a burning and stinging sensation.

In severe cases, the injured area will show redness, swelling, blisters, local severe pain or itching, accompanied by fever, headache, nausea and vomiting and other symptoms.

People who are allergic to bee venom may experience anaphylactic shock symptoms such as facial swelling, urticaria, laryngeal edema, abdominal pain and diarrhea, difficulty breathing, and confusion, which is very dangerous.

2. Treatment method:

Choose from the following dressing methods to cover the wound:

Soapy water, 3% ammonia water, 5-10% sodium bicarbonate water, salt water, sugar water.

Mash Yulu powder or chrysanthemum leaves and apply it.

Wash the purslane with vinegar or fresh purslane, squeeze out the juice and apply it.

Mash garlic or ginger to extract juice and apply it to the affected area.

Apply old cucumber juice to the affected area several times a day.
