Sudden, involuntary shaking of the body

Sudden, involuntary shaking of the body

Sudden and involuntary body shaking mostly occurs when people are sleeping, but it is not ruled out that the body may also shake when people are not sleeping during the day. Sudden body shaking is a phenomenon that most people will experience. The common view on the Internet is that the body is growing taller, and the shaking is caused by calcium deficiency, and it can be cured by supplementing more calcium. But in fact, it is not always like this. There are many reasons why the body shakes unconsciously. Let’s take a look at what they are and how to solve them.

1. Reasons

1. Overwork

Due to reasons such as high work pressure, long hours of overtime, and poor sleep quality, one is bound to be in a bad mood. Excessive tension and fatigue can cause hypnic myoclonus and shaking before going to bed.

2. Calcium deficiency

Low blood calcium can lead to hyperexcitability of muscles and nerves, causing spasms and convulsions. This is also the reason why children are more likely to wake up from dreams of stepping on air when they are growing up.

3. Liver and kidney deficiency

The muscle twitching phenomenon is not very severe, but if it occurs frequently, it may be caused by liver and kidney deficiency and insufficient qi and blood. This requires more attention to conditioning.

2. Solution

1. Stretch your muscles more

You can do proper stretching exercises before going to bed to stretch your gastrocnemius muscles and foot bones to prevent cramps. For example, if you do the one-handed wall push, hold it for 10 to 15 seconds, actively use your chest muscles and stretch until you feel a sore sensation.

2. Drink water and less coffee

Drinking a small amount of water before going to bed is good for your health. As long as you keep the amount appropriate, there will be no adverse consequences. Water helps dilute the sodium concentration in the blood. Drinking too much curry can cause nervousness and anxiety disorders.

3. Combine work and rest

The last point is that no matter what job you do, what working environment and people you are in, you must combine work and rest, get more rest, and not overload. All parts of the body's tissues will function normally. If there is any deviation, some signals will appear and symptoms will follow.
