The baby is so sleepy that he just won't sleep

If the mother finds that the baby is sleepy but not sleeping, she should pay attention to it. There are many reasons, including physiological reasons, or the baby may be sick. For example, the baby is hungry, the baby is not feeling well, the room is too hot or too cold. Of course, if the baby has a fever or other diseases, it will cause the baby to feel unwell, and the baby may not sleep at this time.

The baby is so sleepy that he just won't sleep

First of all, there are physiological reasons as well as psychological reasons why babies are very sleepy but just don’t want to sleep. The mother should check whether the baby is feeling unwell, or is hungry, needs to urinate or defecate, etc. After ruling these out, consider whether it is due to psychological reasons. In fact, babies are sometimes afraid of losing their mothers, for example, when they fall asleep, they can’t see their mothers.

Secondly, the baby may not want to go to bed because he is afraid of the dark. When the baby has a fear, the mother wants to comfort him by saying "don't be afraid" or "it's all fake". That will definitely not work. The mother should guide the child to understand this fear, such as by drawing, playing games, etc., let the baby understand the night, turn on the night light when the baby is about to fall asleep, etc., let the baby slowly accept the night, instead of blindly denying this fear.

How to put a newborn to sleep

1. Observe sleepy behavior

When the baby wants to sleep, it will give mothers some small hints, such as yawning, rubbing eyes, etc., then mothers can coax the baby to sleep.

Don't let your children sleep too much during the day, play and exercise with them more, these are good ways to help babies fall asleep early at night and improve sleep quality.

2. Create a good environment

When coaxing a newborn to sleep, parents must remember to create a good environment. The indoor lighting and light must not be too glaring, but should be kept as soft as possible.

The atmosphere should not be too noisy, and of course there is no need to deliberately adjust the environment, because if it is too quiet, it is not a good thing, as this will develop the baby's sensitivity to noise.

3. Good work and rest schedule

After observing the newborn's daily routine for a period of time, mothers can also roughly understand their sleeping habits. So once you have mastered this most important information, you can cultivate a normal and regular schedule for your baby and let your baby naturally develop good sleeping habits.

4. Provide appropriate comfort and substitution

Although we do not approve of holding or rocking a baby to put him to sleep, it does not mean that you cannot touch the baby. Newborns are still young and still need love and care from their parents at this stage.
