Why does my child have an unexplained fever?

Why does my child have an unexplained fever?

Children will inevitably get sick as they grow up, and fever is a common symptom. Once a child has an unexplained fever, the parents are undoubtedly the most worried. However, parents must not panic at this time. They should first measure the child's temperature to see if it is a high fever. If it is a high fever, they should go to the hospital immediately. If the temperature does not exceed 38.5 degrees, they can observe first, perform physical cooling at home and monitor the body temperature. So, what is going on when a child has a fever for no apparent reason?

1. Cold.

A child's unexplained fever may be due to a cold, which is one of the most common causes of fever.

2. Damage to food.

Improper diet and weak spleen and stomach cause food to accumulate in the stomach and intestines. The inability to digest food causes it to accumulate and ferment in the stomach and intestines, generating heat energy and causing fever, which is most common in infants and young children. This fever causes hot palms and limbs, unlike a cold which causes cold limbs. The fever will subside and the patient will recover after the food is digested.

3. Acne.

4. The child has a fever when teething.

Teeth are the remaining qi of bones, and the kidneys control bones. When babies grow teeth, the spleen earth is weak and cannot control the kidney water. The inability of earth to control water is due to spleen deficiency rather than infection or inflammation. As long as the spleen and stomach are regulated, the fever can be cured. No anti-inflammatory or fever-reducing drugs are needed.

5. Fright.

The seven emotions are not smooth, such as a child who is frightened and has abdominal distension and fever, the disease will heal as long as the fright is relieved. Emotional problems, depression and worry hurt the spleen and cause fever, the fever will go away as the distension and gas are relieved.

6. Fever of other unknown causes.

This requires finding an experienced physician to diagnose and treat the disease.

7. What should I do if my child has a fever for no apparent reason?

1. First of all, mothers should pay attention to the changes in the baby's body temperature, whether it has been rising, remaining unchanged, or decreasing. If it does not reach a high fever, you don't need to give the baby medicine first. After all, medicine is three-point poison. Baby fever is inevitable in the process of growth, and it helps the development of the baby's immune system.

2. Observe whether there are any changes in the baby's mental state, such as drowsiness, vomiting, diarrhea, crying, etc. These are all symptoms we can see in the baby. If the baby's mental state does not change and there are no symptoms at all, if it is a high fever, the body temperature reaches 38° to 40°, or even higher, mothers should actively cool the baby down. If necessary, take some antipyretic drugs appropriately, mainly with physical cooling, and observe whether the baby has roseola infantum and whether there are any red spots on the baby's body. If it is roseola infantum, excessive cooling will affect the speed of the rash.

3. If the low temperature persists and the baby has no symptoms for the time being, or if the baby has mild diarrhea or cries while eating in the later stage, you should observe whether the baby has herpes or redness and swelling in the throat to see if the baby has herpetic pharyngitis.
