Why do newborn babies have eczema?

The period when eczema is triggered mostly occurs in infancy, and the cause of eczema in infancy is related to the environment in which the baby lives. Eczema in infancy is a common skin disease that usually heals on its own. Many babies' skin will change due to eczema when they are born, from delicate to rough, which makes their parents very anxious. So why do newborns develop eczema?

Why do newborn babies have eczema?

1 Many times, eczema is caused by a hot and humid environment. My baby was born in winter. Due to physical reasons, I had a caesarean section. I couldn't move after the operation, and the child was taken care of by my grandmother. Because it was winter, my grandmother was worried that the child would be cold, so she wrapped the child tightly with a quilt. There was heating in the ward at that time, but because there were many people in the ward, it was humid and hot. The next day after the baby was born, he developed eczema all over his face.

2 After the doctor discovered this, he stopped allowing her to wrap herself with a quilt and instead used a small thin blanket. The next day, she showed obvious improvement and the eczema on her face was significantly reduced. Later, we and other people in the ward told her not to wrap herself too thickly.

3 The eczema on the face has healed, but the ones on the neck and thighs have not been healed. This is because friction occurs when the child moves, and the eczema in the folds of the neck and thighs have been rubbed off. Because the wrinkles can never dry, I later used some moisture-absorbing powder and it healed after two days. If any mother needs it, please ask me and I will give it to you.

4 In my hometown, there is a saying that if you eat too spicy food during pregnancy, the baby will develop eczema after birth. After my two pregnancy experiences, I think this statement makes sense. When I was pregnant with my eldest daughter, I never ate spicy food, and my eldest daughter has never had eczema since she was born. When I was pregnant with my youngest daughter, I couldn’t eat without chili peppers due to physical reasons, so my youngest daughter has always had eczema from time to time since she was born.

5 For the above-mentioned eczema, most hospitals will prescribe some ointments, which will gradually disappear after application, but after being cured, it will appear from time to time in the future.

6 A friend of mine told me that she used snake skin to soak her child in water and it could be used for treatment. She used it on her baby and the eczema never recurred. The effect is very good. Friends who have the conditions can try it.
