Urticaria caused by roundworms

Urticaria caused by roundworms

We all know that there are many causes of urticaria, mainly bacteria brought by fish and shrimp and roundworms. Ascaris is a kind of bacteria living in the intestines. It can cause urticaria, mainly because too many roundworms will stimulate the protective effect of the intestinal mucosa. For urticaria caused by roundworms, we should prescribe the right medicine to control the number of roundworms in the intestines, and we should pay attention to our diet and hygiene issues, so that we can cure urticaria caused by roundworms.

Children with mild roundworms may have no obvious symptoms. Severe cases may cause loss of appetite, or a preference for eating foreign objects, a sallow complexion and thin body, abdominal pain around the navel that comes and goes, a soft abdomen, or the ability to feel the worms cluster together. Children may also be seen vomiting roundworms or having roundworms in their stools, and their stools may be dry and watery. Some children have light white spots, blue spots on the sclera, granular white spots on the lower lip, a thin and greasy or peeling tongue coating, and a red tip of the tongue. In the adult stage, symptoms such as urticaria, skin itching, angioedema, and conjunctivitis may occur. So it may be related to roundworms. It is recommended to go to the hospital for examination and deworming treatment. After treatment, if there are no worm eggs in the feces after 3 to 4 months, it means that the patient is cured.

Ascaris is one of the most common parasites in the human body, and the adult worms mainly live in the small intestine. When young children are infected with roundworms, they often grind their teeth at night. In severe cases, the patient may suffer from loss of appetite, pica, sallow complexion, and abdominal pain around the navel. When adults are infected with ascariasis, they may have low fever, irritability, waking up easily at night, grinding their teeth, and even cause serious complications such as intestinal obstruction, acute appendicitis, biliary ascariasis, acute cholangitis, acute peritonitis and other diseases. In severe cases, symptoms such as urticaria, skin itching, angioedema, and conjunctivitis may occur. In the case of biliary ascariasis, there is sudden colic in the right upper abdomen, which radiates to the right shoulder, back and lower abdomen. The pain intensifies intermittently, accompanied by nausea, vomiting, etc., and the worms can be seen directly in the stool during defecation. Loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, and intermittent periumbilical pain are symptoms of ascariasis infection.
