Will blepharitis heal on its own?

Will blepharitis heal on its own?

Many women draw eyeliner on their eyelids. Although it looks beautiful, it can sometimes cause blepharitis. Another type of people are also prone to blepharitis, and that is people who often rub their eyes with dirty hands. Sometimes when their eyelids become inflamed, many people don’t take it seriously, thinking that blepharitis will heal itself in a few days. But this is not the case. Blepharitis will not heal itself. Let’s take a look at it together.

The skin closest to the edge of the eyeball is the "eyelid". Inflammation of the eyelashes and eyelid edges due to inflammatory reaction or bacterial infection is called "blepharitis", which is one of the most common causes of external eye irritation. Patients may experience burning, irritation and itching on their eyelids, and some patients may even have ulcers around their eyelids.

Blepharitis

The skin closest to the edge of the eyeball is the "eyelid". Inflammation of the eyelashes and eyelid edges due to inflammatory reaction or bacterial infection is called "blepharitis", which is one of the most common causes of external eye irritation. Patients may experience burning, irritation and itching on their eyelids. Some patients may even experience ulcers around their eyelids and falling eyelashes.

Causes

Blepharitis is usually caused by seborrheic dermatitis (a skin disease that causes itching, dandruff, and inflammation) or a bacterial infection.

pathology

The infection is usually caused by staphylococci, bacteria that live on a person's skin and are generally harmless. Once this bacteria causes blepharitis, the strain's normal cycle has been altered by the excess oil production. The eyelids can also become infected due to allergies or invasion by eyelid lice.

Blepharitis cannot heal on its own

This blepharitis cannot be cured and must be treated with modern diagnosis and treatment methods. It often does not occur alone, but often occurs together with conjunctivitis, dermatitis and various skin diseases, mainly involving lesions in the eye area. But when this disease occurs, some tissues and organs in our eyes will change, the eyes will be very painful, and sometimes there is a chance of blindness.

This disease cannot be completely cured. We must use modern methods to treat it. We must cooperate with the doctor's diagnosis and treatment, and we cannot delay. The longer we delay, the more harmful the disease will be.
