There is still a big difference in skin conditions between people. Some people's skin is white and delicate, while others are dark and yellow. No matter what kind of skin you have, as long as it does not affect your health, you should not fuss about it too much. Sometimes skin problems may occur, such as spots and acne. Skin warts are skin growths that are usually close to the skin color and are not itchy or painful. However, if they grow on the face, they will affect your appearance. So why do skin warts grow? Skin warts are a common skin disease caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). Although it is not a serious problem, it can affect appearance, study and work, and is taken seriously by patients. Because some people are eager to seek treatment, they lack understanding of the disease, apply medicine indiscriminately, believe in so-called "secret recipes", or mistakenly treat it blindly as "corns", which results in greater harm to patients. In mild cases, they suffer from infection and pigmentation, and in severe cases, they suffer from disfigurement. Skin warts are generally benign, HPV DNA is free, and some warts can disappear on their own. High-risk human papillomavirus is closely related to genital precancerous lesions and malignant tumors, and HPV DNA is often integrated into the chromosomes of host cells. The damage caused by HPV is affected by immune factors, and cell-mediated immunity is more important. Skin warts appear after HPV infection and will disappear on their own after a long period of time; however, the incidence of warts and cervical cancer will increase in immunosuppressed patients. 1. Causes 1. Skin warts Modern medicine believes that warts are caused by viruses. Common warts, plantar warts, and flat warts are caused by human papillomavirus; molluscum contagiosum is caused by molluscum contagiosum virus. It is mainly transmitted through direct contact. 2. Common warts and plantar warts are not highly contagious, but trauma can easily cause wart virus infection. Molluscum contagiosum is highly contagious and can be transmitted through self-inoculation. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that common warts are caused by wind evil invading the skin, causing stagnation of qi and blood, malnutrition of tendons and veins, liver deficiency and blood dryness, failure of blood to nourish tendons, and failure of tendon qi to flourish. Flat warts are mostly caused by internal liver fire, combined with wind, heat and toxic evil, which accumulate in the skin. 3. Plantar warts are caused by long-term pressure on the feet, stagnation of local qi and blood, and invasion of wind evil, which accumulates in the skin. Molluscum contagiosum is caused by exogenous wind, heat and toxic evils that invade the skin. [2] 2. Symptoms 1. Skin warts Warts are a common benign intraepidermal neoplasm caused by a virus. Due to different occurrence sites and human body reactions, the clinical manifestations are often manifested as a rash of flat papules ranging in size from millet to sorghum rice. They are round, oval or polygonal in shape, with clear borders and smooth surfaces, and are light brown, yellowish brown or normal skin color. They often grow symmetrically, in scattered or dense distribution, and may undergo autoinoculation due to scratching. Occasionally feel mild itching. Common warts include flat warts, common warts and genital warts, which can heal on their own or recur. 2. Flat warts: more common in adolescents, often occur on the face, back of the hands and middle side of the forearms, generally without subjective symptoms, sometimes slightly itchy. The skin lesions are round, oval or papular, with normal skin color or light brown, and a smooth and hard surface. They are the size of a needle tip at first, gradually increasing to the size of a grain of rice, and are scattered. Sometimes scratching can cause autoinoculation, and the lesions are arranged in lines along the scratches. 3. Common warts: also seen in adolescents. It is common on the back of hands, back of fingers, edge of feet, and around nails. Generally no symptoms. Those who have it around the nails are often prone to contractions. The damage is initially the size of a needle tip, and gradually increases to the size of a soybean or larger, with hemispherical or polygonal keratinous protrusions that are grayish white, yellowish brown or normal skin color, with a rough, sunken surface and scattered distribution. Sometimes the number is very large and may increase due to self-seeding, but 65% of them disappear on their own within two years |
