What constitutes high-risk sexual behavior

What constitutes high-risk sexual behavior

With the opening up of social atmosphere, many people are no longer too conservative about sex. However, although this situation brings some benefits, it also has many dangers if we don’t know some sexual protection. Nowadays, there is a term in sex that not everyone is very familiar with - high-risk sexual behavior. So, what kind of sex is considered high-risk sexual behavior?

Nowadays, high-risk sexual behavior seems to be a very distant thing for many people. However, whether you are a man or a woman, it is necessary to have a simple understanding of the specific content of high-risk sexual behavior. Only by truly knowing the types of high-risk sexual behaviors can we better avoid their occurrence in life.

The only sexual behavior that can be considered high-risk is sexual behavior without any protection measures. However, if you use quality-assured condoms correctly throughout the sexual intercourse without them falling off or getting damaged, it is not a high-risk behavior.

The high risk that is usually mentioned actually includes the following possibilities of coexisting or existing alone. “High-risk” cannot be generalized. “High-risk” refers to both sexual behavior and the group of people to whom the behavior belongs, which is easy to confuse. The following is my comprehensive definition of sexual behavior.

High-risk groups include homosexuals, drug addicts, prostitutes and paid blood donors and blood cell transfusion providers.

1. Having unprotected sex with high-risk groups is called high-risk sexual contact or high-risk sexual behavior.

2. Having sex with a high-risk person under protection is called safe sex with a high-risk person.

3. Having sexual relations with ordinary people (ordinary people, classmates, netizens, etc.) without protection is called general sexual relations.

4. Having protected sexual relations with ordinary people (ordinary people, classmates, netizens, etc.) is called safe sex.

5. Unprotected cunnilingus, oral sex, breast sex, masturbation, etc. with ordinary people are called general sexual behaviors.

6. Unprotected cunnilingus, oral sex, breast sex, masturbation, etc. with high-risk groups are called low-risk sexual behaviors with high-risk groups (passive oral sex, breast sex, and masturbation for men rarely infect others and are considered general sexual behaviors).

7. Protected sexual intercourse with the same sex is called general sexual intercourse.

8. Having unprotected sexual intercourse with the same sex or with high-risk same sex people is called high-risk behavior.

9. Engaging in cunnilingus, oral sex, masturbation, etc. with the same sex or high-risk same sex groups without protection becomes a low-risk sexual behavior.

10. Touching seats, needles, wounds, ladies’ hands, underwear, secretions, etc. is an extremely low-risk behavior.

According to the transmission routes of HIV, behaviors that are likely to cause HIV transmission are called high-risk behaviors, such as intravenous drug injection, prostitution, soliciting prostitution, multiple sexual partners and other unsafe sexual behaviors, transfusion of blood or blood products that have not been tested for HIV antibodies, use of needles that are not strictly sterilized, occupational exposure, etc. Sharing syringes with others for intravenous drug use is a high-risk behavior. If you use disposable needles yourself, there is no possibility of HIV infection.
