This will help you solve the problem and reduce the various adverse effects of gastroenteritis on your body. I hope that in daily life, everyone can pay more attention to this treatment method.

Prevention and treatment methods

1. Eliminate the cause of the disease.

2. Replenish lost water, electrolytes and correct acid-base imbalance.

(1) Estimation of dehydration. Clinically, the amount of dehydration is mainly estimated from mental state, skin elasticity, capillary refill time (normally 1.3 seconds), mucosal dryness, and degree of eye socket sunkenness. The laboratory uses items such as hematocrit (PCV) and plasma protein to make judgments. Of course, it is best to use laboratory tests and clinical judgment of the degree of dehydration to determine the amount of dehydration in the animal.

The determined amount of dehydration must be replenished within 4 to 6 hours through intravenous infusion, drinking, gavage or enema. If there is continued loss after the replenishment, the principle of replenishing as much as lost should be adopted. To prevent endotoxemia, dexamethasone is added to the intravenous infusion, 0.5-1.0 mg/kg, 1 or 2 times;

(2) Replacement of lost electrolytes: The electrolytes lost due to diarrhea or vomiting are mainly sodium, chloride and potassium. Clinical and laboratory criteria for the degree of dehydration

The above is some information about enteritis. I hope that after reading this introduction, everyone can have a more comprehensive understanding of the treatment of this disease and pay attention to their dietary choices in daily life, because many times food selection problems can also lead to the occurrence of enteritis and endanger health.
