Some couples have been married for many years but have never been able to get pregnant. There are many reasons for this, some are problems with female ovulation, and some are poor sperm quality in men. In short, no matter what the problem is, it should be treated before getting pregnant. If a woman has problems with ovulation, she will also not be able to get pregnant. This is also a symptom of poor ovulation. In addition to infertility, poor ovulation can also cause problems such as menstrual disorders. 1. Infertility Ovulatory disorders may lead to infertility in women. Infertility refers to the failure to become pregnant after 12 months of normal sexual life without taking any contraceptive measures. Ovulation disorders or infrequent ovulation account for about 40% of female infertility factors. 2. Menstrual disorders and amenorrhea Ovulation disorders can also affect normal menstruation. One of the more direct symptoms of ovulation disorders is menstrual disorders and amenorrhea. If a woman has not had her first menstruation by age 18, she has primary amenorrhea. If menstruation has occurred but has stopped for more than half a year, it is called secondary amenorrhea. 3. Anovulatory functional uterine bleeding Anovulatory functional uterine bleeding is also called anovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding, which is completely irregular uterine bleeding. It is one of the common symptoms of ovulatory disorders and is more common in adolescent female friends. When this symptom occurs, the interval between bleeding can be long or short, from a few days to several months, or even a year. The duration of this irregular uterine bleeding varies, and anovulatory functional uterine bleeding may occur. When the amount of bleeding is small, it is only a few drops. When it is heavy, there may be large blood clots. In severe cases, anemia may occur, which may be accompanied by dizziness, lightheadedness, weakness, lack of appetite, insomnia, nightmares and other uncomfortable symptoms. Long-term bleeding may cause lower abdominal distension due to pelvic congestion, breast swelling and pain due to the influence of estrogen, and edema of the face and limbs may also occur. 4. Abnormal secondary sexual characteristics (1) Tall stature and underdeveloped secondary sexual characteristics are also symptoms of anovulation, which are mainly caused by abnormalities in the central nervous system, which in turn lead to abnormal sexual function, increased body hair, and increased adrenal secretion of androgens. (2) Physical examination generally shows no special signs. A few patients may have hirsutism, which may indicate polycystic ovary syndrome, but it cannot be diagnosed. (3) Pelvic examination is within normal range, with occasional unilateral or bilateral ovarian cystic enlargement. 5. Other symptoms Some patients with ovulation disorders may experience breast pain, bad temper, depression, etc. |
