Traditional Chinese Medicine Bone-setting Techniques

Bones are very important to the human body, and people are supported by bones. After a fracture, everyone needs to correct the bone and fix it to help the bone recover quickly. Traditional Chinese medicine has many methods for bone setting, and they are all very effective. It not only reduces people's pain, but also allows bones to grow as quickly as possible. So, what are the techniques of traditional Chinese medicine for bone setting?

Traditional Chinese medicine bone setting manipulation to treat lumbar disc herniation:

1. Lateral reduction method

The patient lies prone and is asked to relax his whole body, with the doctor standing on the affected side. Place one hand on the unaffected shoulder and the other hand next to the spinous process. While pressing the spinous process tightly with the base of your palm or thumb and pushing it toward the healthy side, the hand placed on the healthy shoulder pushes in the opposite direction. For patients without kyphosis, the upper body should not be rotated. Over-correction is generally required based on the patient's tolerance. Hold it steady for more than a minute. If you feel your waist sliding and hear "gulp" or "gulp" sounds, it means it has been returned. If you fail the first time, restore it and try again. If the disease course is long, you can cast the spell three or four times in succession.

2. Hand and elbow pressure method

The patient lies prone with muscles relaxed, and the doctor stands on the affected side. Use the flat surface of the forearm on the olecranon bone to press down between the two vertebrae of the affected area, from light to heavy, to a degree that you can tolerate. Press hard for 1 minute each time. Relax the tissues around the affected area once. For severe cases, perform the procedure three times in a row. For old cases, an assistant can hold the ankles and pull downward while applying pressure on the waist. This method can increase the intervertebral space and make the annulus fibrosus produce an elastic gyratory force, which can reduce the nucleus pulposus, restore the annulus fibrosus, and keep it away from the nerve roots.

3. Rotational reduction method

The patient sits on a specially made "A-shaped treatment seat". The doctor passes one hand through the patient's armpit on the affected side, passes through the back of the neck, and holds the patient's shoulder on the healthy side with his hand. At this time, the patient is asked to bend over to the healthy side and relax his muscles. The doctor uses the thumb or base of the palm of his other hand to push the deviated spinous process. At this time, the doctor's hand on the shoulder makes a large circle rotation when the edges of the vertebrae are relatively positioned, and at the same time, the hand on the spinous process pushes the deviated spinous process hard to correct it. When rotating to the back of the affected side, the doctor's two hands form an opposing push board, causing the extension position, which counts as 1 time. Depending on the condition, you can perform this method three times in a row. Push the hand on the spinous process. If you feel a "gurgling" or sliding sensation, the treatment goal can be achieved. However, you can only rotate it toward the affected side, otherwise it will only be ineffective.
