Every mother who is about to give birth is nervous and afraid, hoping to be relieved as soon as possible. However, it is not as easy as we think before giving birth. Some pregnant women may not give birth so quickly due to physical reasons, while some pregnant women will have abdominal pain, but there is no sign of giving birth. This makes pregnant mothers particularly anxious and at a loss. So what should they do? Pre-birth pains As early as a week before the actual delivery, I had a stomachache. At about 11 o'clock in the afternoon, I started to feel severe pain in the palm-sized area on the left side of my belly button. The pain continued. I was sweating and my face turned red. I thought it was time to give birth. The pain stopped around 1 o'clock in the afternoon and I had no symptoms since then. A week later, on November 11, I was 38 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I started having stomach pains at noon, just like the pains you get when you have diarrhea, but not much pain. It hurt around my belly button, and it hurt once every hour, two hours, or three hours. There was no regular pattern. From noon to 7pm, I only had pain two or three times, and each time lasted only two or three minutes. I didn't have any pain after that. In fact, it was time for me to give birth. I went to bed at 9 o'clock, and got up at 2 o'clock in the middle of the night to go to the toilet. When I wiped it with paper, there was a thin pink line, which was not obvious. In fact, this is a sign of labor. I saw blood. After about 20 minutes, my stomach started to hurt, like diarrhea. I wanted to defecate, and it started to hurt at the position one finger below the belly button. Everyone said that the pain was the same as the pain during menstruation. Because I didn't have pain before, I didn't know where it hurt. At the beginning, my stomach hurt about every 20 minutes, and each time lasted about five minutes. As time went by, the pain intervals gradually shortened. At 3:30, the pain occurred every ten minutes, and each time lasted five minutes. The pain kept getting worse. When I went to the toilet, I used paper to wipe off the light pink color, the size of a fingernail. At 5 o'clock, the pain occurred every five or six minutes, and each time lasted three or four minutes. The pain got worse. I couldn't even move when I stood there, and my whole body was shaking slightly. By six o'clock, it was happening every two or three minutes, and the pain lasted for two or three minutes. I used paper to wipe off the red bloodstain two fingers wide when I went to the toilet. The amniotic fluid had not broken, and the pain intervals were shortening rapidly. By half past six, it was happening every one or two minutes on the way to the hospital, and the pain lasted for one or two minutes. I went to the hospital at 7:00 and had my blood drawn and fetal heart rate monitoring done. The pain got worse and I couldn't straighten my back. It was very uncomfortable to put the fetal heart rate monitoring device on my stomach. I didn't want to put it on. It hurt all the time, non-stop. I felt better if I pushed down. At 8:00, the doctor came and checked that my cervix was fully dilated. I went into the delivery room. I was lying on the delivery bed, and when the labor came, I pushed down. The doctor broke the amniotic fluid, injected anesthetic down there, and did an episiotomy, which was to cut it open with scissors. I didn't feel any pain down there, but from time to time it felt like it was being stretched open. I wanted to push down, and the doctor's assistant pressed my belly hard again and again. The baby was born at nine o'clock. Precautions The above is only Xiao Guosen’s personal experience and is for reference only. Because Xiao Guosen’s delivery is relatively fast, some expectant mothers will feel pain for two or three days, which varies from person to person. |
