Because people do not pay attention to the way they take a bath and wash their hair, and have no awareness of ear protection, their ears will experience different symptoms such as itching, pain, and water discharge after water enters their ears for a long time. In this case, they need to deal with it in time and strengthen ear protection in the future. In traditional Chinese medicine, the ears can be protected by massaging acupoints. This article introduces five acupoints for different diseases. Let’s take a look. Massage five acupoints to effectively treat tinnitus 1. Press and rub the acupoints around the ears: Use the thumb tips of both hands to press and rub the Tinggong point and Yifeng point on both sides respectively. The best strength is to feel soreness and swelling. Remember to keep your mouth open when massaging, and do each acupoint for 1 minute. The Tinggong point is located in front of the tragus, and it appears concave when you open your mouth. This point has the effect of promoting the flow of Qi and blood, opening the orifices and improving hearing. It has a certain therapeutic effect on ear diseases, especially tinnitus caused by various reasons. Yifeng point is located at the midpoint between the mastoid process of the temporal bone and the mandibular angle behind the earlobe. This point has the effects of dredging meridians and activating blood circulation, calming the mind and opening the ears. It has a good preventive and therapeutic effect on ear diseases. 2. Rub the base of the ears: Place the index finger in front and the thumb in the back on the front and back base of the ears, and rub for 3 minutes in total until the base of the ears becomes warm. This technique can effectively improve blood circulation in the ear, especially it can play a good therapeutic role in high-pitched tinnitus caused by inner ear ischemia. 3. Ear twisting method: Use the thumb and index finger to twist the earlobes and earlobes at the same time, from top to bottom, for a total of 3 minutes, until the ears become warm. There are many acupoints and nerve reflex points on the helix and earlobe. Gently twisting and kneading these acupoints and reflex points can provide benign stimulation, which helps improve the environment inside the ear, promotes the elimination of middle ear inflammation and assists in maintaining the function of the inner ear nerves. 4. Ming Tian Gu: Rub your palms together to generate heat, then press them on your ears, with your palms facing the ear canals, and four fingers placed behind the pillow. Press hard and slowly release (be careful to relax gently to avoid inner ear pain) 3 times. This counts as 1 time, and there will be 5 times in total. This technique also gives the middle ear a certain amount of benign stimulation by changing the pressure in the ear canal, and has a good therapeutic effect on low-pitched tinnitus. 5. Rub Fengchi: Fengchi point is located on both sides of the occipital bone at the back of the neck, in the depression between the sternocleidomastoid muscle and the upper trapezius muscle. Use your thumb to massage until you feel soreness and swelling. Massage for 1 minute each time, 3 times a day. Pressing and rubbing the Fengchi point can effectively increase the blood supply to the ear and is most effective for neurological tinnitus. |
