Is it good to have hair in the ears?

Is it good to have hair in the ears?

Our bodies grow hair, yes, because humans evolved from apes, so naturally we grow hair. However, after years of evolution, the hair seems to be getting lighter than before, especially in some women. Due to the estrogen in the body, even sweat hairs cannot be seen on the skin, and the skin is so smooth. So the question is, is it good or bad to have hair in the ears?

Human external auditory canal hypertrichosis, also known as human Indian hairy ear external auricle hypertrichosis, is a genetic disease caused by genes located on the Y chromosome. There is no corresponding gene on the X chromosome, so these genes can only be passed on with the Y chromosome, from father to son, from son to grandson, and so on. Therefore, it is called "all male inheritance". To date, only a few genes for genetic traits or diseases in humans are known to be located on the Y chromosome. Hypenrichosis of external auditory meatus is a rare Y-linked inheritance.

Patient distribution

External auditory canal hypertrichosis is a Y-linked genetic symptom recognized by scholars. This disease is more commonly found in Indians, and is also found in small numbers in Caucasians, Australian aborigines, Japanese, and Nigerians.

feature

All the patients were male. They had fluffy brown hair in their external auditory canals at birth, which turned black after they were six years old. During puberty, longer black stiff hairs appeared in the external auditory canals, ranging in length from about 2 mm to more than 20 mm. All cases of external auditory canal hypertrichosis are bilateral and have obvious symmetry. Hairy areas are often found at the opening of the external auditory canal, the helix, and the tragus. It is only seen on the front of the auricle and has never been seen growing on the back of the auricle. The ear hair can be up to 4.5 cm long, some are curly, and some are accompanied by beards.
