White pimples on inner thighs

Generally speaking, the appearance of white pimples on the inner thighs is a precursor reaction. This is not a single disease, so you must go for an examination to know more details. This situation mainly occurs in middle-aged female friends. If this is the case, timely treatment is needed, otherwise it will spread and cause greater damage to the skin.

1. Local fluid-like cyst

It mostly occurs in women aged 40-50 years. The lesions are usually located on the dorsal surface of the distal finger joints and are mostly solitary. The size is about 3-15mm, translucent, smooth, soft, and skin-colored. The cyst cavity is filled with fluid, in which there are scattered stellate fibroblasts.

2. Milia

It is more common in women of any age. The primary cause is unknown; the secondary cause often occurs in epidermolysis macrostomia, congenital ectodermal defect, and tarda cutanea after dermabrasion. Primary skin lesions often occur on the eyelids and cheekbones; secondary lesions often occur on the auricle, back of hands, and forearms. It is the size of a millet grain and is hard in texture. When it is broken, white sebum-like substance can be seen.

3. Pilar ganglion cyst

It was called sebaceous cyst in the past. It is more common in middle-aged women and tends to occur on the head. It is difficult to distinguish from epidermal cyst, which is common on the face and neck. The cyst wall of this disease is composed of squamous epithelium, which is similar to the cells in the isthmus of hair follicles. The contents of the cavity are eosinophilic material.

4. Steatocystoma multiplex

It can occur in men and women of all ages. The lesions often occur in the middle and lower part of the chest and scrotum. They can be single or multiple, normal skin color or yellow, with a diameter of several millimeters to 1-2 cm and soft texture, and smaller ones are slightly hard. The cavity contents are oily or cheesy.

5. Epidermal cyst

It is more common in young people and children, and rare in the elderly. The diameter is 0.5-5cm, with normal skin color, round and elastic, and slightly hard. The cyst wall is normal skin and the cyst cavity is filled with keratin. It can be single or multiple, often occurring on the scalp, face, neck and trunk.

6. Bronchogenic and thyrohyoid duct cysts are congenital developmental abnormalities and are often seen in the front of the neck or feet above the sternal notch. It occurs shortly after birth, is mostly single, and has small lesions, often accompanied by thin tubes. The two cases present similarly in that their cyst walls are composed of pseudostratified columnar epithelium, and cilia of the epithelial cells can be seen protruding into the cyst cavity.

7. Midline Penile Cyst

It is a congenital developmental abnormality that is common in young people and children. The lesions are located on the ventral side of the penis, especially on the midline of the glans penis, with a diameter of about several millimeters. The cyst wall is pseudostratified epithelium, and some epithelial cells have transparent cytoplasm.

8. Eruptive pilaris

It is more common in children and young people and is a small follicular cyst with a size of 1-2 mm. The surface may have induration and umbilical pits, which are common on the chest and can also be seen on the limbs. The back cyst wall is squamous epithelium, and the cyst cavity is lamellar keratin and synergistic hair. The cyst wall is indented to form a follicle-like structure.
