There will usually be some symptoms a few days before the onset of bleeding. This is a case of natural miscarriage. However, for sudden causes such as sudden severe impact, there are usually no signs, but bleeding will occur directly. In the case of a natural miscarriage, symptoms of uterine contractions and abdominal pain will appear a few days before the onset of bleeding. These are symptoms of miscarriage. As for the situation of spotting during labor, the main signs are enlarged uterus and rupture of amniotic fluid. 1. Uterine contractions are a sign of impending labor. If the uterine contractions show the following symptoms, it indicates that labor is imminent: regular, and the intervals between them are getting shorter and shorter. At the beginning, the intervals are 20-30 minutes, and the uterus contracts for about 20-30 seconds. Then the intervals between uterine contractions gradually shorten to 5-6 minutes each. At this time, you should be admitted to the hospital immediately. The pain caused by uterine contractions is not abdominal pain, but is caused by uterine contraction. At this time, if you touch your stomach with your hand, you can feel that your stomach has become hard. 2. Spotting is a sign of labor . 24-48 hours before delivery, the cervix begins to dilate slightly, causing the nearby fetal membrane to separate from the uterine wall, capillaries to rupture, and a small amount of blood to mix with the mucus in the vagina and cervical canal and be discharged. This bloody secretion from the vagina is what we commonly call "spotting." Seeing spotting is a reliable sign of impending delivery, but how long it will take to give birth after seeing spotting varies from person to person. Generally, labor will begin 48 hours after seeing spotting, but the labor process for primiparas is longer, usually 11-12 hours; some expectant mothers give birth several days or even a week after seeing spotting. Whether to go to the hospital immediately after seeing blood depends on observing its shape, color, amount, etc. If you experience fresh bleeding, the amount of bleeding exceeds that during your menstrual period, or you experience abdominal pain, you should be hospitalized immediately. If you do not have these conditions, you do not need to rush to the hospital and can wait until regular contractions occur. As the time intervals between contractions gradually shorten, you are ready to enter labor. 3. Water rupture, a sign of labor, is the natural rupture of the amniotic membrane that wraps the fetus, and the amniotic fluid flows out. You will generally feel a warm current flowing out of the vagina, or a moist feeling. After the water breaks, in order to prevent any situation that affects the fetus, you should try to lie flat no matter what the occasion is, so as to reduce the outflow of amniotic fluid. Lie down flat and call an ambulance. If it is a breech presentation or the fetal head has not entered the pelvis, you must remain flat on the way to the hospital. |
