Angiography is a medical detection method widely used in the medical field. It mainly uses the principle that X-rays can penetrate the human body for detection. Therefore, angiography technology can well reflect some internal body diseases. There are also many arteries around the human lungs, and the function of these arteries is to transport necessary blood to the lungs. But when there is a problem with the pulmonary artery, what are the precautions when performing CT pulmonary angiography? Preparation before the examination 1. Explain the purpose of angiography and possible complications and accidents to the patient and his family, and sign an angiography agreement. 2. Inquire about medical history and perform necessary imaging examinations, such as chest X-ray, CT, fiberoptic bronchoscopy, etc. 3. Check heart, liver, and kidney functions, as well as blood routine and blood clotting time. 4. Iodine and anesthetic agents should be handled as required by the pharmacopoeia. 5. Do not eat or drink 4 hours before the operation. Administer 10 mg of diazepam (Valium) intramuscularly 0.5 hour before the operation. 6. Perform routine skin preparation at the puncture site. 7. Measure arterial oxygen partial pressure or blood oxygen saturation when necessary. 8. Establish intravenous access to facilitate medication and rescue during surgery. Clinical significance Pulmonary angiography refers to the use of a pigtail catheter to super-selectively insert into the left or right pulmonary artery trunk through the inferior vena cava, and inject contrast agent into the pulmonary artery to visualize the pulmonary artery, thereby understanding the location of pulmonary vascular lesions, clarifying the nature of the lesions, and selecting appropriate embolic materials for treatment according to the condition. Mainly used for diagnosis and treatment of the following diseases: 1. For pulmonary artery aneurysm and pulmonary arteriovenous fistula, understand the size and location of the aneurysm and fistula, and use spring coils and liquid glue to block the aneurysm or fistula. 2. Congenital pulmonary arteriovenous malformations. Angiography shows the size and location of the vascular malformation, and treatment is performed using coils and liquid glue. 3. Acute pulmonary embolism: Understand the degree and location of pulmonary embolism, use a pigtail catheter to mechanically crush, inject thrombolytic drugs and balloon dilate the narrowed artery to achieve the treatment goal. |
